Now Jesus called His disciples to Him and said,“ I feel compassion for the people, because they have remained with Me now for three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away hungry, for they might faint on the way.”

Jesus called his disciples to him and said,“ I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.”

Then Jesus called for his disciples to come to him. He said,“ I feel deep concern for these people. They have already been with me three days. They don’t have anything to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry. If I do, they will become too weak on their way home.”

Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”

Then Jesus called his disciples and told them,“ I feel sorry for these people. They have been here with me for three days, and they have nothing left to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, or they will faint along the way.”

Jesus called his disciples and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they’ve already stayed with me three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, otherwise they might collapse on the way.”

Now Jesus called His disciples to Himself and said,“ I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”

And Jesus called unto him his disciples, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat: and I would not send them away fasting, lest haply they faint on the way.

Now Jesus summoned His disciples and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they’ve already stayed with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry; otherwise they might collapse on the way.”

Then Jesus called his disciples[ unto him], and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

Then Jesus called the disciples and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days and they have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry since they may faint on the way.”

Seeing the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast, like sheep without a shepherd.

And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not keep worrying.For all these things are what the nations of the world eagerly seek; and your Father knows that you need these things.

Until the day was about to dawn, Paul kept encouraging them all to take some food, saying,“ Today is the fourteenth day that you have been constantly watching and going without eating, having taken in nothing.

Now they found an Egyptian in the field and brought him to David, and gave him bread and he ate, and they provided him water to drink.They also gave him a slice of fig cake and two cakes of raisins, and he ate; then his spirit revived. For he had not eaten bread or drunk water for three days and three nights.

When He came ashore, He saw a large crowd, and felt compassion for them and healed their sick.Now when it was evening, the disciples came to Him and said,“ This place is secluded and the hour is already past to eat; send the crowds away, so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.”But Jesus said to them,“ They do not need to go; you give them something to eat!”They* said to Him,“ We have nothing here except five loaves and two fish.”And He said,“ Bring them here to Me.”And ordering the crowds to sit down on the grass, He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looked up toward heaven. He blessed the food and breaking the loaves, He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.And they all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up what was left over of the broken pieces: twelve full baskets.There were about five thousand men who ate, besides women and children.

Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and immediately they regained their sight and followed Him.

It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to kill him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!”

When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her and said to her,“ Do not go on weeping.”

for just as Jonah was in the stomach of the sea monster for three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin.

and they said,“ Sir, we remember that when that deceiver was still alive, He said,‘ After three days I am rising.’

For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.

In those days, when there was again a large crowd and they had nothing to eat, Jesus summoned His disciples and* said to them,“ I feel compassion for the people because they have remained with Me for three days already and have nothing to eat.And if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way; and some of them have come from a great distance.”And His disciples replied to Him,“ Where will anyone be able to find enough bread here in this desolate place to satisfy these people?”And He was asking them,“ How many loaves do you have?” And they said,“ Seven.”And He* directed the people to recline on the ground; and taking the seven loaves, He gave thanks and broke them, and started giving them to His disciples to serve, and they served them to the people.They also had a few small fish; and after He had blessed them, He told the disciples to serve these as well.And they ate and were satisfied; and they picked up seven large baskets full of what was left over of the broken pieces.About four thousand men were there; and He dismissed them.And immediately He got into the boat with His disciples and came to the region of Dalmanutha.

Then one of the people responded and said,“ Your father strictly put the people under oath, saying,‘ Cursed be the man who eats food today.’ ” And the people were weary.Then Jonathan said,“ My father has troubled the land. See now that my eyes have brightened because I tasted a little of this honey.How much more, if only the people had freely eaten today of the spoils of their enemies which they found! For now the defeat among the Philistines has not been great.”They attacked the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon. But the people were very tired.
