當這些日子、耶穌出去到上山禱告，整夜禱告上帝。

既辭別了他們，他就往山上去禱告。

我們呢、便可以恆心專務於禱告和傳道的職事。』

不；你禱告的時候、要進你的內屋，關上門，禱告你隱密中的父；你父在隱密中察看的，必報給你。

於是耶穌覺得人將要來抓住他、使他做王，就再退到山上，自己單獨在那裏。到了傍晚，門徒下海邊去；既上了船，就要往海那邊到迦伯農去。天已經黑了，耶穌還沒有來到他們那裏，

說了這些話以後、約有八天，耶穌帶着彼得約翰雅各上山去禱告。
