耶穌曰：『是故士子而熟諳天國之理者、譬諸一家之主、庫中取物、新舊兼備。』

他说：“凡文士受教作天国的门徒，就像一个家主从他库里拿出新旧的东西来。”

他对他们说：“凡文士学习作天国的门徒，就像一个家的主人从他库里拿出新的和旧的东西来。”

耶穌對他們說：「為此，凡是成為天國門徒的經文士，就好比一家的主人，從他的寶庫裡拿出新的和舊的東西來。」

曰、故凡士子為天國之徒者、如家主由其庫中出新舊之物焉、○

He said to them,“ Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”

He said to them,“ Every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house. He brings new treasures out of his storeroom as well as old ones.”

And he said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house, who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.”

Then he added,“ Every teacher of religious law who becomes a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a homeowner who brings from his storeroom new gems of truth as well as old.”

“ Therefore,” he said to them,“ every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom treasures new and old.”

And Jesus said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure new things and old.”

Then He said to them,“ Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”

And he said unto them, Therefore every scribe who hath been made a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

“ Therefore,” He said to them,“ every student of Scripture instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who brings out of his storeroom what is new and what is old.”

Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe[ which is] instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man[ that is] an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure[ things] new and old.

Then he said to them,“ Therefore every expert in the law who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his treasure what is new and old.”

He said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”

愛友乎、吾茲所書、非新誡命、乃爾等自始所受之舊誡命、亦即爾等素聞之道也。雖然、吾所書者、亦可謂之新誡命、主所體認、亦爾等所體認者也。蓋暗昧寖消、而真光已著矣。

全部聖經、皆天主之所默啟、有益於人、其所以覺世牖民、警惡勸善、導人於正者、亦云備矣。是在天主之徒奮發自勵、孳孳為善、以臻才德全備之地耳。

是故吾遣先知哲人經師於爾、爾或刃之釘之、或鞭之於會堂、逐之於諸邑、

俾汝知曉任事於天主宅第中者、應如何修身砥行。天主宅第者、即永生天主之教會、而真道之柱石也。嗚呼、聖道之玄妙、不亦浩浩其天、淵淵其淵乎哉！所謂玄妙者無他、即現於肉身、證於聖神、見於天神、傳於兆民、信於普世、而躋於光榮者也。

吾儕之所以在天主之前、具此自信者、實恃基督之德；至吾儕本人、則空無所有、不足道也。吾儕之所有皆淵源於天主。不寧惟是、使吾儕足以任新約之役者、亦惟天主而已。此約也、非本乎文字、乃本乎聖神。蓋文字乃肅殺之具、而聖神則生命之源也。

篤踐所傳之道、庶能導人於正義、而塞反對者悠悠之口。

善人所蘊者善、所發亦善；惡人所蘊者惡、所發亦惡。

當勸壯年男子、亦寧靜淡泊。汝本人務宜以身作則、孳孳為善。

夫我乃諸聖中之至微者、竟亦蒙此殊恩、得在異邦人中弘宣基督不可思議之厚澤、

俾基督之道、寓爾五內、使之發榮滋長、蔚為眾慧。以聖詠、聖詩、聖歌、相互淬勵切磋、心歌腹咏、同聲頌美天主。

從伊伯弗拉之教、確已領會天主之洪恩。伊伯弗拉、我親愛之同寅、而基督之忠僕也。

予茲授爾以新誡、即彼此相愛是已、務以予之所以愛爾者、彼此相愛也。

因此天主之妙慧、曾作警言曰：「予遣先知宗徒於若輩有為所害、有為所辱、

蓋吾人決不作自我宣傳、惟知宣揚吾主耶穌基督；而吾人則因耶穌之故、而充爾等之僕人者耳。夫天主昔嘗作光於黑暗之中矣、今乃照耀於吾人之心中、俾吾人得藉基督耶穌之聖容、而洞識天主之光榮。然此真光之在吾人、猶珍寶之藏於瓦器也。應知可貴者在天主之德、而不在吾人之身。

爾等讀之、即可見吾於基督之玄妙、實有所悟矣。

奉教不久者、亦不宜遽充司牧；恐其妄自尊大、而蹈沙殫之覆轍。

雖似不堪其憂、而實則不勝其樂也；雖似窮乏、而實則所以豐人也；雖似一無所有、而實則無所不有也。
