How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin,esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christand be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding.

But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said,“ How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!

“ Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price.

I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

But as it is written:“ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

Jesus said to him,“ If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common,and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Another parable He put forth to them, saying:“ The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;

So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully.But when they saw it, they all complained, saying,“ He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.”Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord,“ Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven.

Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.

Why is there in the hand of a fool the purchase price of wisdom, Since he has no heart for it?

For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

And Jesus said to them,“ I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.
