所以定時未到以前、甚麼都不要論斷了；只等主來，他不但要照明暗中的隱密事，也要顯露人心中的計謀；那時應得的稱讚、自會由上帝分給各人了。

有些人的罪很顯然、自然然引到受定罪；有些人呢、卻是隨後才顯露。

人若不住在我裏面，便像枝子扔在外面、枯乾了；人收集起來，扔在火裏，就燒掉了。

那時你們就必重新看出義人與惡人之間、事奉上帝的與不事奉上帝的之間、有甚麼分別了。『因為你看、萬軍之永恆主說：那日來到、燃燒着像火爐：一切傲慢的、一切行惡的、都必成了碎稭；那要來到的日子必將他們燒滅掉，不給留下根頭或枝條。

那時王也必對那在左邊的說：「被咒詛的人哪，離開我，去進入那給魔鬼和他的使者所豫備的永世之火裏去。

那撒稗子的仇敵呢、是魔鬼。收割的時候呢、是今世之完結；收割的呢、是天使。所以稗子怎樣薅出來，用火燒掉，惡人在今世之完結，也必這樣。人子要差遣他的使者，把一切使人絆跌的事、以及行不法事的人、都從他國裏薅出來，丟在火爐裏；在那裏必有哀哭和切齒。那時義人必在他們的父國裏射發光輝、如同太陽。有耳的應當聽。

萬國都要被召集在他面前；他要把他們彼此分別出來，好像牧羊人分別綿羊山羊一般；

因為有堡壘的城冷冷落落，居所被拋下被撇棄，像曠野一樣；牛犢必在那裏喫草，在那裏躺着，喫盡其樹枝。其枝條枯乾，必被折斷；婦女必來，拿去生火。因為這人民是無知的人民；所以造他們的、不憐憫他們，形成他們的、不恩待他們。

半夜裏有嚷叫的聲音說：「看哪，新郎來了！出來迎接他哦！」那些童女就都起來，修整她們的火把。愚拙的對精明的說：「你們的油分點兒給我們吧；我們的火把快滅了。」精明的回答說：「恐怕一定不夠我們和你們用的；不如去找賣油的人，自己買吧。」她們去買的時候，新郎到了；那些有準備的同他進去赴婚筵，門就關了。其餘的童女隨後也來了，說：「主啊，主啊，給我們開吧！」他卻回答說：「我實在告訴你們，我不認識你們。」所以你們要儆醒，因為你們不知道那日子或那時辰。

看哪，已拋給火燒燬，火既燒燬了兩頭，中間也給燒焦了，要作工具還有用處麼？看哪，它完整時、尚且不能用作工具，何況火燒燬了它，並且給燒焦了，還能用來作工具麼？故此主永恆主這麼說；正像森林樹木中的葡萄樹；我怎樣將它拋給火燒燬，我也必怎樣將耶路撒冷的居民丟給火燒。我必向他們板着臉；他們雖從火中逃出，火仍必燒燬他們；我盯着他們板着臉時，你們就知道我乃是永恆主。

那些奴僕就出去到大路上，凡所遇見的，無論惡的善的，都聚集了來；婚筵上就滿了坐席的人。『王進來視察坐席的人，看見一個沒有穿婚筵禮服的人在那裏，就對他說：「同伴哪，你沒有婚筵禮服，怎麼進這裏來呢？」那人閉口無言。於是王對僕役們說：「把他捆起來，腳和手，丟出外邊的黑暗裏；在那裏有哀哭和切齒。」因為被請的人多，蒙揀選的人少。』

雖有人起來追逼你、尋索你性命，我主的性命卻在永恆主你的上帝那裏包在活人的寶貝包裏；惟獨你仇敵的性命、永恆主卻要甩去，像在機弦窩中甩出去一樣。
