以賽亞所傳講的神言、正應驗在他們身上了；他說：「你們要聽了又聽，卻決不領悟；要看了又看，卻決看不見。

在他们身上，正应了以赛亚的预言，说：‘你们听是要听见，却不明白；看是要看见，却不晓得；

在他们身上，正应验了以赛亚的预言：‘你们听了又听，却不明白，看了又看，却看不清。

This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says,‘ When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend.

Isaiah’s prophecy is fulfilled in them, which says: You will listen and listen, but never understand; you will look and look, but never perceive.

And in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,‘ You shall keep on listening, but shall not understand; And you shall keep on looking, but shall not perceive;

And concerning them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:‘ You will listen carefully yet will never understand, you will look closely yet will never comprehend.

In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says,‘ By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive:

他說：你去對這人民說：『你們聽了又聽吧！但總不明白！你們看了又看吧！但總不曉得！你去使這人民心蒙脂油，耳朵發沉，將他們的眼塗抹掉，免得他們用眼看見，用耳聽見，心裏明白，而回轉過來，而得醫治！』

『人子啊，你住在叛逆之家中間；他們有眼睛可以看，卻不看，有耳朵可以聽，卻不聽，因為他們是叛逆之家。

無奈他們的心意卻成了頑梗不化的。直到今天的日子，在宣讀《舊約》的時候、同樣的帕子還是存在着、沒有揭去；因為只有在基督裏那才被消滅掉。

耶穌說：『上帝國的奧祕是給你們知道的；對於其他的人呢、就用比喻，使他們看是看，卻看不見；聽是聽，卻不曉悟！

他們彼此不和諧，就散開了；未散以前、保羅還說了一句話、說：『聖靈藉着神言人以賽亞向你們的祖宗講話，講得不錯；他說：「你去告訴這人民說：你們要聽了又聽，卻決不領悟；要看了又看，卻決不看見；因為這人民的心給脂油蒙住了；他們以沉重的耳來聽，又把眼封閉着；恐怕他們用眼看見，用耳聽見，用心領悟，回轉過來，讓我醫治他們！」

正如經上所記的：『上帝給了他們麻木的靈，不能看的眼，不能聽的耳，直到今天這日子。』大衛也說：『願他們的筵席對他們成了網羅，成了機檻，成了絆跌物，又成了報應；願他們的眼昏矇、不能看見；願你使他們的脊背總是彎屈卑服。』

使「他們看了又看，卻看不見；聽了又聽，卻不曉悟；免得他們回轉過來，而得赦免！」』

人們之所以不能信的、是因為以賽亞又說：『主把他們的眼弄瞎了。使他們的心頑梗不化，省得他們用眼看見，用心了悟，回轉過來，而我醫治他們！』（
