你们要让基督的道丰丰富富地住在你们心里，以各样的智慧，彼此教导，互相劝戒，用诗章、圣诗、灵歌，怀着感恩的心歌颂神。

心中有智慧的必称为聪明人；动听的话能增加说服力。明慧人的明慧是他生命的泉源；愚妄人的惩罚就是愚妄。智慧人的心教导自己的口，使自己口中的话增加说服力。

义人的口说出智慧，他的舌头讲论正义。神的律法在他心里，他的脚步必不滑跌。

应对得当，自己也觉喜乐；合时的话，多么美好！

耶稣说：“所以，每一个作天国门徒的经学家，就像家主从宝库中拿出新和旧的东西来。”

毒蛇所生的啊，你们既然是邪恶的，怎能说出良善的话？因为心中所充满的，口里就说出来。

恶人的言语埋伏着，等待要流人的血，正直人的口能拯救人。

吐露真情的，彰显正义，作假见证的却是诡诈。有人说话不慎，好像利刀刺人，智慧人的舌头却能医治人。说实话的嘴唇，永远坚立；撒谎的舌头，眨眼间消失。

一句坏话也不可出口，却要适当地说造就人的好话，使听见的人得益处。
