in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God, and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.These people will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,when He comes to be glorified among His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed— because our testimony to you was believed.

For in many dreams and in many words there is futility. Rather, fear God.

Although a sinner does evil a hundred times and may lengthen his life, still I know that it will go well for those who fear God, who fear Him openly.But it will not go well for the evil person and he will not lengthen his days like a shadow, because he does not fear God.

For My hand made all these things, So all these things came into being,” declares the Lord.“ But I will look to this one, At one who is humble and contrite in spirit, and who trembles at My word.

You, O king, have made a decree that every person who hears the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery, and bagpipe, and all kinds of musical instruments, is to fall down and worship the golden statue.But whoever does not fall down and worship shall be thrown into the middle of a furnace of blazing fire.There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the administration of the province of Babylon, namely Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed nego. These men, O king, have disregarded you; they do not serve your gods, nor do they worship the golden statue which you have set up.”Then Nebuchadnezzar in rage and anger gave orders to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed nego; then these men were brought before the king.Nebuchadnezzar began speaking and said to them,“ Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed nego, that you do not serve my gods, nor worship the golden statue that I have set up?Now if you are ready, at the moment you hear the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery and bagpipe, and all kinds of musical instruments, to fall down and worship the statue that I have made, very well. But if you do not worship, you will immediately be thrown into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire; and what god is there who can rescue you from my hands?”Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed nego replied to the king,“ Nebuchadnezzar, we are not in need of an answer to give you concerning this matter.If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will rescue us from your hand, O king.But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods nor worship the golden statue that you have set up.”

Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting their release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection;

And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life maimed, than, having your two hands, to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire.

It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

and will come out: those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the bad deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

My flesh trembles from the fear of You, And I am afraid of Your judgments. Ayin

“ So do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.

Then Paul replied,“ What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be answerable to the court; and whoever says to his brother,‘ You good for nothing,’ shall be answerable to the supreme court; and whoever says,‘ You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.
