in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

For when dreams increase and words grow many, there is vanity; but God is the one you must fear.

and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Though a sinner does evil a hundred times and prolongs his life, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they fear before him.But it will not be well with the wicked, neither will he prolong his days like a shadow, because he does not fear before God.

All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the Lord. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.

You, O king, have made a decree, that every man who hears the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image.And whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into a burning fiery furnace.There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, pay no attention to you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”Then Nebuchadnezzar in furious rage commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?”Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king,“ O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life.

And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

My flesh trembles for fear of you, and I am afraid of your judgments.

“ So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.

Then Paul answered,“ What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be imprisoned but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says,‘ You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.
