But now plead for God’s favor that he might be gracious to us.“ With this kind of offering in your hands, how can he be pleased with you?” asks the LORD who rules over all.

萬軍之耶和華曰、爾既行此、試求上帝施恩、使加矜憫、彼豈納爾中一人乎、

萬有之主耶和華曰、獻此薄祭、繫爾之故、今雖呼籲於上、望我矜憫、我豈以爾為悅、

萬有之主曰、由爾手獻若是之祭、主豈悅納乎、今當籲禱天主、庶幾施恩於我儕、

“ Now plead with God to be gracious to us. With such offerings from your hands, will he accept you?”— says the Lord Almighty.

“ Now plead with God to be gracious to us! But as long as you give offerings like those, how can he accept you?” says the Lord.

And now entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With such a gift from your hand, will he show favor to any of you? says the Lord of hosts.

“ Go ahead, beg God to be merciful to you! But when you bring that kind of offering, why should he show you any favor at all?” asks the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

“ And now plead for God’s favor. Will he be gracious to us? Since this has come from your hands, will he show any of you favor?” asks the LORD of Armies.

“ But now, do indeed plead for God’s favor, so that He will be gracious to us. With such an offering on your part, will He receive any of you kindly?” says the Lord of armies.

“ But now entreat God’s favor, That He may be gracious to us. While this is being done by your hands, Will He accept you favorably?” Says the Lord of hosts.

And now, I pray you, entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he accept any of your persons? saith Jehovah of hosts.

“ And now ask for God’s favor. Will He be gracious to us? Since this has come from your hands, will He show any of you favor?” asks the Lord of Hosts.

And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts.

“ Now, please entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With this, will he accept any of you?” says Yahweh of Armies.

I also told them,“ If they are really prophets and the LORD is speaking to them, let them pray earnestly to the LORD who rules over all. Let them plead with him not to let the valuable articles that are still left in the LORD’s temple, in the royal palace, and in Jerusalem be taken away to Babylon.

The priests and Levites got up and pronounced blessings on the people. The LORD responded favorably to them as their prayers reached his holy dwelling place in heaven.

King Hezekiah and all the people of Judah did not put him to death, did they? Did not Hezekiah show reverence for the LORD and seek the LORD’s favor? Did not the LORD forgo destroying them as he threatened he would? But we are on the verge of bringing great disaster on ourselves.”

We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is devout and does his will, God listens to him.

Next I saw Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.The LORD said to Satan,“ May the LORD rebuke you, Satan! May the LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Isn’t this man like a burning stick snatched from the fire?”Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood there before the angel.The angel spoke up to those standing all around,“ Remove his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua,“ I have freely forgiven your iniquity and will dress you in fine clothing.”Then I spoke up,“ Let a clean turban be put on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the LORD stood nearby.

Get dressed and lament, you priests! Wail, you who minister at the altar! Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you servants of my God, because no one brings grain offerings or drink offerings to the temple of your God anymore.Announce a holy fast; proclaim a sacred assembly. Gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land to the temple of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.

For there is no partiality with God.

But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God and said,“ O LORD, why does your anger burn against your people, whom you have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?

And if you address as Father the one who impartially judges according to each one’s work, live out the time of your temporary residence here in reverence.

Get up! Cry out in the night when the night watches start! Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord! Lift up your hands to him for your children’s lives; they are fainting at every street corner.ר( Resh)

Let the priests, those who serve the LORD, weep from the vestibule all the way back to the altar. Let them say,“ Have pity, O LORD, on your people; please do not turn over your inheritance to be mocked, to become a proverb among the nations. Why should it be said among the peoples,“ Where is their God?”

For it is indeed fitting for us to have such a high priest: holy, innocent, undefiled, separate from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.He has no need to do every day what those priests do, to offer sacrifices first for their own sins and then for the sins of the people, since he did this in offering himself once for all.

But the evil spirit replied to them,“ I know about Jesus and I am acquainted with Paul, but who are you?”Then the man who was possessed by the evil spirit jumped on them and beat them all into submission. He prevailed against them so that they fled from that house naked and wounded.
