耶穌對他說：「狐狸有洞，飛鳥有窩，人子卻沒有安枕之處。」

耶穌應之曰：『狐有丘、鳥有巢、人子獨無枕首地。』

Jesus replied,“ Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

And Jesus said to him,“ Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”

But Jesus replied,“ Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.”

Jesus told him,“ Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

And Jesus said to him,“ The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

And Jesus said to him,“ Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

And Jesus said unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Jesus told him,“ Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.”

我親愛的弟兄姊妹，請聽我說，上帝不是揀選了窮人，使他們在信心上富足，並承受祂應許賜給那些愛祂之人的國度嗎？

「若有人要跟從我，就要愛我勝過愛他的父母、妻子、兒女、弟兄、姊妹，甚至自己的生命，否則就不能作我的門徒。若不背起自己的十字架跟從我，就不能作我的門徒。「哪有人建樓房不事先坐下來計算成本，看能否建成？否則，打好了地基卻不能完工，徒惹別人嘲笑，『這個人開了工，卻不能完工！』「哪有王要跟另一個王打仗時，不先坐下來酌量一下自己的一萬人是否敵得過對方的兩萬人？如果自知不敵，一定趁敵人還遠的時候，就差使者去求和。「同樣，你們若不撇下一切，就不能作我的門徒。

因為你們知道我們主耶穌基督的恩典，祂本來富足，卻為你們的緣故變得貧窮，使你們藉著祂的貧窮可以變得富足。

耶穌說：「狐狸有洞，飛鳥有窩，人子卻沒有安枕之處。」

約書亞說：「你們不能事奉耶和華，祂是一位聖潔的上帝，祂痛恨不貞，必不赦免你們的過犯和罪惡。如果你們背棄耶和華，去拜外族的神明，儘管祂曾經恩待你們，也必降禍給你們，毀滅你們。」民眾答道：「不，我們一定要事奉耶和華。」約書亞說：「現在你們自己作證，你們已選擇事奉耶和華。」民眾答道：「我們願意自己作證。」

祂的許多門徒聽了，就議論說：「這話實在難懂，誰能接受呢？」耶穌知道門徒在議論，就說：「這話叫你們失去信心嗎？如果你們看見人子升到祂原來所在的地方，會怎麼樣呢？叫人活著的是靈，肉體毫無作用。我對你們說的話就是靈，就是生命。然而，你們中間有些人不信。」因為耶穌一開始就知道誰不信祂、誰會出賣祂。祂繼續說：「所以我曾對你們說，如果不是我父賜恩，沒有人能到我這裡來。」從此，很多門徒離開了，不再跟從耶穌。

萬軍之耶和華，我的王我的上帝啊，在你的祭壇邊，麻雀找到了家，燕子築巢養育幼雛。

耶穌聽了就對他說：「你還有一件事沒有做，就是變賣你所有的產業，分給窮人，你必有財寶存在天上，然後你還要來跟從我。」那人聽了，極其憂愁，因為他非常富有。
