As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.

The time grew near for Jesus to be taken up to heaven. So he made up his mind to go to Jerusalem.

When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.

Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem,

And it came to pass, when the days were well- nigh come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

When the days were coming to a close for Him to be taken up, He determined to journey to Jerusalem.

The Lord Yahweh has opened my ear. I was not rebellious. I have not turned back.I gave my back to those who beat me, and my cheeks to those who plucked off the hair. I didn’t hide my face from shame and spitting.For the Lord Yahweh will help me. Therefore I have not been confounded. Therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I won’t be disappointed.He who justifies me is near. Who will bring charges against me? Let us stand up together. Who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.Behold, the Lord Yahweh will help me! Who is he who will condemn me? Behold, they will all grow old like a garment. The moths will eat them up.

He went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and traveling on to Jerusalem.

As he was on his way to Jerusalem, he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.

Having said these things, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.

where as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!

As they heard these things, he went on and told a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that God’s Kingdom would be revealed immediately.

When Yahweh was about to take Elijah up by a whirlwind into heaven, Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.Elijah said to Elisha,“ Please wait here, for Yahweh has sent me as far as Bethel.” Elisha said,“ As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.The sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him,“ Do you know that Yahweh will take away your master from your head today?” He said,“ Yes, I know it. Hold your peace.”

looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Now, behold, I go bound by the Spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there;except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.

until the day in which he was received up, after he had given commandment through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.

Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.

Coming to us and taking Paul’s belt, he bound his own feet and hands, and said,“ The Holy Spirit says:‘ So the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”When we heard these things, both we and the people of that place begged him not to go up to Jerusalem.Then Paul answered,“ What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”When he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying,“ The Lord’s will be done.”

Now before the feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that his time had come that he would depart from this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

While he blessed them, he withdrew from them, and was carried up into heaven.

Therefore he says,“ When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to people.”Now this,“ He ascended”, what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;

But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me,‘ Where are you going?’

Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
