Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from goodwill.The latter do so from love because they know that I am placed here for the defense of the gospel.The former proclaim Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, because they think they can cause trouble for me in my imprisonment.What is the result? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is being proclaimed, and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding.Acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight.

No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”

He said,‘ An enemy has done this.’ So the slaves replied,‘ Do you want us to go and gather them?’But he said,‘ No, since in gathering the weeds you may uproot the wheat with them.Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I will tell the reapers,“ First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned, but then gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

After he said,“ From foreigners,” Jesus said to him,“ Then the sons are free.

So I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says,“ Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say,“ Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

For I tell you the truth, whoever gives you a cup of water because you bear Christ’s name will never lose his reward.

The men examined some of their provisions, but they failed to ask the LORD’s advice.
