He told them:“ Take nothing for the journey— no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt.

He said to them,“ Take nothing for your journey– no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, and do not take an extra tunic.

乃謂門徒曰、我遣爾時、毋囊、毋袋、毋履、爾有所缺乎、曰、無、

勿攜囊、勿袋、勿履、途中勿問人安、所入之室、則先曰、願斯室安、儻於彼有宜乎安者、爾祝之安必臨之、不然、則歸爾矣、居斯室、則飲食其所供、蓋工者得其值、宜也、毋由此室移於彼室、所入之邑、人接爾、則食其陳於爾前者、邑中有病者醫之、且語眾曰、上帝國近爾矣、所入之邑、人不接爾、則出至其衢、曰、爾邑之塵沾我足者、亦對爾拂之、雖然、爾宜知上帝國近矣、我語汝、於彼日所多瑪之刑、較斯邑猶易受也、

勿備金銀銅於袋、途間勿囊、勿二衣、勿履、勿杖、蓋工得其食、宜也、入邑與鄉、則訪孰為宜者、主之、直至去時、入其家、則祝其安、其家若宜、爾祝之安、必臨之、不宜、爾祝之安、則歸諸己、不接爾、不聽爾者、出其家其邑、拂去足塵、

曰、有二衣者、則分與無者、有食者亦然、

命勿攜資斧、惟杖而已、勿糧勿袋、勿金於囊、惟著履、毋衣二衣、又曰、凡入人家、則居之、以至去時、有不接爾、不聽爾者、去時拂爾足塵、以證於眾、

夫從軍者不以世務自累、致悅募之者、

當賴耶和華而行善、居於斯土、以其信實為食兮、

利未為之設盛筵於家、有諸稅吏及他人同席、

夫野草今日尚存、明日投爐、上帝猶衣之若此、況爾小信者乎、

耶穌謂其徒曰、故我語汝、毋慮爾生何以食、身何以衣、
