耶稣又对大家说：“如果有人想要来跟从我，他就当否定自己，天天背起自己的十字架，然后跟从我。

耶穌又對眾人說：「若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，天天背起他的十字架來跟從我。

耶穌諭眾曰：『人欲從予、務宜克己、日負其十字架、而隨予後。

Then he said to them all:“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Then he said to all of them,“ Whoever wants to follow me must say no to themselves. They must pick up their cross every day and follow me.

And he said to all,“ If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Then he said to the crowd,“ If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.

Then he said to them all,“ If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.

And He was saying to them all,“ If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Then He said to them all,“ If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

And he said unto all, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Then He said to them all,“ If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Then he said to them all,“ If anyone wants to become my follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.

He said to all,“ If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

不背起自己的十字架来跟从我的，也不配属于我。寻得自己生命的，将失去生命；为我的缘故失去自己生命的，将寻得生命。

“如果有人到我这里来，而不恨自己的父亲、母亲、妻子、儿女、兄弟、姐妹，甚至自己的生命，他就不能做我的门徒。凡是不背着自己的十字架来跟从我的，也不能做我的门徒。

于是，耶稣把众人和他的门徒们一起召来，对他们说：“如果有人想要跟从我，他就当舍弃自己，背起自己的十字架，然后跟从我。因为凡想要保全自己生命的，将失去生命；凡为我和福音的缘故失去自己生命的，将保全生命。一个人就是赚得了全世界，却赔上了自己的生命，到底有什么益处呢？人到底能拿什么来换回自己的生命呢？在这淫乱、罪恶的世代，一个人如果以我和我的话为耻，当人子在他父的荣耀中，与圣天使们一起来临的时候，也要以这个人为耻。”

因为你们如果顺着肉体而活，就将死去；但如果顺着圣灵治死身体的所作所为，就将活着。

爱惜自己生命的，就失去生命；在这世上恨恶自己生命的，将保全生命到永生。一个人如果要服事我，就当跟从我；我在哪里，我的仆人也将要在哪里。如果有人服事我，父将尊重他。

这恩典管教我们，使我们拒绝不敬神的事和地上的欲望，在今世能过自制、公义、敬神的生活，

所以，当把你们属世的各个部分看为死了的，就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪心，贪心就是拜偶像。

其实，所有想要在基督耶稣里过敬神生活的，也都会受到逼迫；

彼得把耶稣拉到一边，开始劝阻他，说：“主啊，千万不可，这事绝不能临到你身上。”但耶稣转身对彼得说：“撒旦，退到我后面去！你是我的绊脚石，因为你不是思想神的事，而是思想人的事。”于是，耶稣对他的门徒们说：“如果有人想要来跟从我，他就当舍弃自己，背起自己的十字架，然后跟从我。因为凡想要保全自己生命的，将失去生命；凡为我的缘故失去自己生命的，将寻得生命。

我们又为什么要时时刻刻面临危险呢？弟兄们，藉着我在我们的主基督耶稣里所拥有的，就是我对你们的夸耀，我肯定地说：我天天都在死！
