日頭開始快平西了；那十二個人就上前來，對耶穌說：『請解散羣眾，他們好往四圍村莊鄉下去投宿，找喫的；因為我們這裏、是在荒野地方。』

日头快要平西，十二个门徒来对他说：“请叫众人散开，他们好往四面乡村里去借宿找吃的，因为我们这里是野地。”

Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said,“ Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.”

Late in the afternoon the 12 disciples came to him. They said,“ Send the crowd away. They can go to the nearby villages and countryside. There they can find food and a place to stay. There is nothing here.”

Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to him,“ Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.”

Late in the afternoon the twelve disciples came to him and said,“ Send the crowds away to the nearby villages and farms, so they can find food and lodging for the night. There is nothing to eat here in this remote place.”

Late in the day, the Twelve approached and said to him,“ Send the crowd away, so that they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find food and lodging, because we are in a deserted place here.”

Now the day was ending, and the twelve came up and said to Him,“ Dismiss the crowd, so that they may go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and get something to eat; because here, we are in a secluded place.”

When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him,“ Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here.”

And the day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages and country round about, and lodge, and get provisions: for we are here in a desert place.

Late in the day, the Twelve approached and said to Him,“ Send the crowd away, so they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find food and lodging, because we are in a deserted place here.”

And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.

Now the day began to draw to a close, so the twelve came and said to Jesus,“ Send the crowd away, so they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and food, because we are in an isolated place.”

The day began to wear away; and the twelve came and said to him,“ Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms, and lodge, and get food, for we are here in a deserted place.”

耶穌一句話也不回答她。門徒上前來，求耶穌說：『請打發她走吧，因為她在我們後頭喊叫呢。』

並且抨擊上帝說：『上帝哪能在曠野擺設筵席呢？他固然曾擊打了磐石，使水湧出，谿谷氾濫，他還能賜食物麼？還能為他人民豫備肉食麼？』

時候已晚，門徒就上他跟前來，說：『這地方是荒野，而且時候已晚；請解散眾人，他們好往四圍鄉下村莊裏，去自己買甚麼喫的。』耶穌回答他們說：『你們、給他們喫。』他們對他說：『我們要去買二百日工錢的餅，給他們喫麼？』耶穌問他們說：『你們有多少餅？去看看！』他們知道了，就說：『五個，還有兩條魚。』耶穌就吩咐他們大家、要一組一組地坐在青草地上。他們就一排一排地坐下，有一百的，有五十的。耶穌便拿這五個餅兩條魚，望着天祝頌，擘開了餅，連續地給門徒，去擺在眾人面前；他也把那兩條魚分給他們。眾人都喫，並且喫飽了；他們就把碎片兒撿起來，十二個籃子滿滿的！另外還有碎魚。喫餅的有五千人。

到了傍晚、門徒上他跟前來，說：『這地方是荒野；時候已經過了；請解散羣眾，他們好往村莊裏去，自己買食物。』耶穌對他們說：『他們無需乎去；你們、給他們喫。』他們對他說：『我們這裏、除了五個餅兩條魚，甚麼也沒有。』耶穌說：『拿過來這裏給我。』於是吩咐羣眾坐在草地上，就拿這五個餅兩條魚，望着天祝頌，擘開了餅給門徒，門徒又給羣眾。眾人都喫，並且喫飽了；他們把剩下的碎片撿起來，十二個籃子滿滿！喫的人、除了婦女孩子、約有五千。

耶穌叫門徒來，說：『我憐憫這一羣人，因為他們同我在一起已經三天了，也沒有甚麼可喫的。要解散他們空着肚子走嘛，我又不願意，恐怕他們在路上暈倒了。』

耶穌舉目，見一大羣人直向他跟前來，就對腓力說：『我們要從哪裏買餅、讓這些人喫呢？』他說這話、是要試試腓力；因為他自己已經知道將要怎麼辦了。腓力回答耶穌說：『二百日工錢的餅讓各人拿一點兒，也是不夠他們喫啊。』門徒中有一個人、西門彼得的兄弟安得烈、就對耶穌說：『這裏有一個孩童有五個大麥餅和兩條小魚；只有這一點兒要給這麼多的人，還算得甚麼？』耶穌說：『叫人坐下！』那地方原有很多草。人就坐下，數目約有五千。於是耶穌拿了餅，祝謝，分給坐着的人；小魚也這樣，隨着他們所願意要的。眾人既喫飽了，耶穌就對門徒說：『把剩下來的碎片兒收集起來，免得有蹧蹋的。』他們便收集起來，將喫的人所剩下來的碎片兒裝滿了十二個籃子。人看見耶穌所行的神迹，就說：『這個人真是那要到世界上來的神言人哪！』於是耶穌覺得人將要來抓住他、使他做王，就再退到山上，自己單獨在那裏。

這些事以後，耶穌往加利利海、就是提庇哩亞海、那邊去。

在曠野是我同你知交，在亢旱之地是我牧養了你。

『我必跟他們立個平安興隆之約；我必使惡獸從境內絕跡，他們就可以在曠野安然居住，在森林中平平安安地睡覺。
