日头快要平西，十二个门徒来对他说：“请叫众人散开，他们好往四面乡村里去借宿找吃的，因为我们这里是野地。”

Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said,“ Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.”

Late in the afternoon the 12 disciples came to him. They said,“ Send the crowd away. They can go to the nearby villages and countryside. There they can find food and a place to stay. There is nothing here.”

Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to him,“ Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.”

Late in the afternoon the twelve disciples came to him and said,“ Send the crowds away to the nearby villages and farms, so they can find food and lodging for the night. There is nothing to eat here in this remote place.”

Late in the day, the Twelve approached and said to him,“ Send the crowd away, so that they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find food and lodging, because we are in a deserted place here.”

Now the day was ending, and the twelve came up and said to Him,“ Dismiss the crowd, so that they may go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and get something to eat; because here, we are in a secluded place.”

When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him,“ Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here.”

And the day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages and country round about, and lodge, and get provisions: for we are here in a desert place.

Late in the day, the Twelve approached and said to Him,“ Send the crowd away, so they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find food and lodging, because we are in a deserted place here.”

And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.

Now the day began to draw to a close, so the twelve came and said to Jesus,“ Send the crowd away, so they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and food, because we are in an isolated place.”

The day began to wear away; and the twelve came and said to him,“ Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms, and lodge, and get food, for we are here in a deserted place.”

耶稣一句话也不回应，他的门徒们上前来求他，说：“这妇人一直跟在我们后面喊叫，请让她走吧。”

他们说反对神的话：“难道神能够在旷野中摆设筵席吗？看哪，虽然他曾击打磐石、使水涌出、溪流漫溢，难道他还能够赐下粮食吗？还能为自己的子民预备肉吗？”

天已经晚了，他的门徒们来到耶稣面前，说：“这是个荒僻的地方，而且天已经晚了。请遣散大家，好让他们到周围的田舍和村庄去，为自己买些东西吃。”但耶稣回答他们，说：“你们给他们吃的吧。”门徒们说：“要我们去买两百个银币的饼给他们吃吗？”耶稣问他们：“你们有多少饼呢？去看看。”他们察看后，就说：“有五个，还有两条鱼。”耶稣吩咐他们，叫众人一组一组地坐在青草地上。众人就一群一群地坐了下来，有的一百人，有的五十人。耶稣拿起这五个饼和两条鱼，抬头望天，祝福了，然后把饼掰开，不断递给他的门徒们，让他们分给众人。他把两条鱼也分给大家。大家都吃了，并且吃饱了。他们把饼和鱼的碎块收拾起来，装满了十二个篮子。吃饼的人，男人就有五千。

黄昏的时候，门徒们来到耶稣面前，说：“这是个荒僻的地方，而且天已经晚了。请遣散人群，好让他们到村庄去为自己买些食物。”但耶稣说：“他们不需要离开，你们给他们吃的吧。”门徒们对耶稣说：“我们这里除了五个饼和两条鱼，就没有什么了。”耶稣说：“拿到我这里来。”于是耶稣吩咐众人坐在草地上，就拿起这五个饼和两条鱼，抬头望天，祝福了，然后掰开饼，递给门徒们，他们又分给众人。大家都吃了，并且吃饱了。他们把剩下的碎块收拾起来，装满了十二个篮子。吃的人，不算妇女和孩子，约有五千。

耶稣召来他的门徒们，说：“我怜悯这群人，因为他们与我在一起已经三天了，也没有什么东西吃。我不愿意让他们饿着肚子回去，恐怕他们在路上晕倒。”

耶稣举目观看，见一大群人向他走来，就对腓力说：“我们从哪里买饼给这些人吃呢？”他说这话是要试试腓力，其实他自己已经知道要做什么了。腓力回答：“就是两百个银币的饼，也不够每个人吃一小块！”他的一个门徒，就是西门彼得的弟弟安得烈，对耶稣说：“这里有个孩子，带了五个大麦饼和两条鱼。可是对这么多人，这些算什么呢？”耶稣说：“让他们坐下来。”那地方草多，他们坐了下来；男人的数目约有五千。耶稣就拿起饼来，祝谢以后，分给那些坐着的人，把鱼也如此分了，他们要多少就给多少。大家吃饱了以后，耶稣就对他的门徒们说：“把剩下的碎块收拾起来，免得浪费。”他们就把大家吃剩的那五个大麦饼的碎块收拾起来，装满了十二个篮子。众人看见耶稣所行的神迹，就说：“这个人确实是那位要来到世上的先知！”耶稣看出他们要来强迫他做王，就又独自退到山上去了。

这些事以后，耶稣渡过加利利湖，也就是太巴列湖，到对岸去。
