Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her.“ Stop wailing,” Jesus said.“ She is not dead but asleep.”

During this time, all the people were crying and sobbing loudly over the child.“ Stop crying!” Jesus said.“ She is not dead. She is sleeping.”

And all were weeping and mourning for her, but he said,“ Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping.”

When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceedingly great and bitter cry, and said to his father,“ Bless me, even me also, my father.”He said,“ Your brother came with deceit, and has taken away your blessing.”

The king was much moved, and went up to the room over the gate, and wept. As he went, he said,“ My son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom! I wish I had died for you, Absalom, my son, my son!”

Yahweh of Armies says,“ Consider, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for the skillful women, that they may come.Let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion,‘ How we are ruined! We are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because they have cast down our dwellings.’”Yet hear Yahweh’s word, you women. Let your ear receive the word of his mouth. Teach your daughters wailing, and everyone teach her neighbor a lamentation.For death has come up into our windows. It has entered into our palaces to cut off the children from outside, and the young men from the streets.

The appearance of Yahweh’s glory was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.

Sarah died in Kiriath Arba( also called Hebron), in the land of Canaan. Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.

I will pour on David’s house, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.
