眾人哭女甚哀；耶穌曰：『勿哭！女實未死、寢耳。』

Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her.“ Stop wailing,” Jesus said.“ She is not dead but asleep.”

During this time, all the people were crying and sobbing loudly over the child.“ Stop crying!” Jesus said.“ She is not dead. She is sleeping.”

And all were weeping and mourning for her, but he said,“ Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping.”

The house was filled with people weeping and wailing, but he said,“ Stop the weeping! She isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.”

Everyone was crying and mourning for her. But he said,“ Stop crying, because she is not dead but asleep.”

Now they were all weeping and mourning for her; but He said,“ Stop weeping, for she has not died, but is asleep.”

Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said,“ Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.”

And all were weeping, and bewailing her: but he said, Weep not; for she is not dead, but sleepeth.

有許多百姓跟隨耶穌，內中有好些婦女；婦女們為他號咷痛哭。

耶穌聽見，就說：「這病不至於死，乃是為神的榮耀，叫神的兒子因此得榮耀。」

以掃聽了他父親的話，就放聲痛哭，說：「我父啊，求你也為我祝福！」以撒說：「你兄弟已經用詭計來將你的福分奪去了。」

王就心裏傷慟，上城門樓去哀哭，一面走一面說：「我兒押沙龍啊！我兒，我兒押沙龍啊！我恨不得替你死，押沙龍啊，我兒！我兒！」

萬軍之耶和華如此說：你們應當思想，將善唱哀歌的婦女召來，又打發人召善哭的婦女來，叫她們速速為我們舉哀，使我們眼淚汪汪，使我們的眼皮湧出水來。因為聽見哀聲出於錫安，說：我們怎樣敗落了！我們大大地慚愧！我們撇下地土；人也拆毀了我們的房屋。婦女們哪，你們當聽耶和華的話，領受他口中的言語；又當教導你們的兒女舉哀，各人教導鄰舍唱哀歌。因為死亡上來，進了我們的窗戶，入了我們的宮殿；要從外邊剪除孩童，從街上剪除少年人。

耶和華的榮耀在山頂上，在以色列人眼前，形狀如烈火。

撒拉死在迦南地的基列‧亞巴，就是希伯崙。亞伯拉罕為她哀慟哭號。

「我必將那施恩叫人懇求的靈，澆灌大衛家和耶路撒冷的居民。他們必仰望我，就是他們所扎的；必為我悲哀，如喪獨生子，又為我愁苦，如喪長子。

他們來到管會堂的家裏；耶穌看見那裏亂嚷，並有人大大地哭泣哀號，進到裏面，就對他們說：「為甚麼亂嚷哭泣呢？孩子不是死了，是睡着了。」

我們向你們吹笛，你們不跳舞；我們向你們舉哀，你們不捶胸。

耶穌說了這話，隨後對他們說：「我們的朋友拉撒路睡了，我去叫醒他。」門徒說：「主啊，他若睡了，就必好了。」耶穌這話是指着他死說的，他們卻以為是說照常睡了。
