Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house

有司會堂名睚魯者、來見耶穌、伏其足下、切求之曰、我幼女瀕死、爾來以手按之、俾得愈而生焉、耶穌偕之往、大眾從而擁之、有婦患痭十有二年、曾由諸醫而受多苦、盡耗所有、不見益而反劇、聞耶穌事、於眾中自後而來、捫其衣、蓋謂第捫其衣必愈焉、其血源立涸、自覺痼疾已愈、時耶穌覺有能力由己而出、乃於眾中轉身曰、捫我衣者誰耶、其徒曰、爾見眾擁爾、尚問誰捫我乎、耶穌環視、欲見行此之婦、婦知所成於己者、恐懼戰慄、進伏其前、悉以實告、耶穌曰、女乎、爾信救爾、安然而歸、爾痼疾愈矣、○言時、有自司會堂來者、曰、爾女亡矣、何尚勞夫子耶、耶穌不顧其所言、謂司會堂者曰、毋懼、惟信而已、乃於彼得雅各及雅各之弟約翰外、不許他人從行、至司會堂者之家、見其紛擾、哭泣號咷、既入、則曰、胡為紛擾哭泣乎、女非死、乃寢耳、眾哂之、耶穌屏眾、率女之父母與從者入女所、執其手曰、大利大古米、譯即幼女乎、吾語爾起、女即起、且行、蓋年十有二矣、眾甚駭異、耶穌嚴戒之、毋令人知、且命食女焉、

言時、或自司會堂之家來、曰、爾女死矣、毋勞夫子、

司會堂者、因耶穌於安息日施醫、憾焉、謂眾曰、工作自有六日、於此可來受醫、勿於安息日也、
