耶和华对撒但说：“凡他所有的都在你手中；只是不可伸手加害于他。”于是撒但从耶和华面前退去。

耶和华问他说：‘你用何法呢？’他说：‘我去，要在他众先知口中作谎言的灵。’耶和华说：‘这样，你必能引诱他，你去如此行吧！’

耶稣回答说：“若不是从上头赐给你的，你就毫无权柄办我。所以，把我交给你的那人罪更重了。”

耶和华对撒但说：“他在你手中，只要存留他的性命。”
