既然我呼唤了，你们拒绝，我伸出了手，没有人留心，你们忽视了我一切的劝告，也没有接受我的责备；那么，你们遭难时，我就讥笑；你们的恐惧临到时，我就嘲笑——

这不法之人的到来，是出于撒旦的作为，对那些正在灭亡的人，使用一切能力、虚假的神迹和奇事，并且使用一切不义的诡计，因为他们不接受那能使他们得救的真理之爱。为此，神就把一种迷惑人的力量送进他们里面，使他们相信虚假之事，好使所有不相信真理而喜悦不义的人，都被定罪。蒙主所爱的弟兄们，我们应该为你们常常感谢神，因为神为了救恩的缘故，就藉着在圣灵里的分别为圣，以及真理的信仰，拣选了你们做为初熟的果子。为此，神也藉着我们的福音召唤了你们，使你们获得我们主耶稣基督的荣耀。

那被撒上话语的‘路边之地’是这样一些人：他们听了话语以后，撒旦就立刻来把那撒在他们心里的话语夺走。

正是因为他们恨恶知识，没有选择敬畏耶和华，

你要获得智慧，获得悟性；不要忘记、也不要偏离我口中的言语。

至于你们这些离弃耶和华、忘记我的圣山、为‘幸运之神’摆设筵席、为‘命运之神’倒满混合酒的人，

无论谁听了天国的话语而不领悟，那恶者就来，把那撒在他心里的夺走；这就是那被撒上种子的‘路边之地’。

“有一个撒种的出去撒种。他撒的时候，有的种子落在路边，被人践踏，天空的飞鸟也把它吃掉了。
