當時耶穌於安息日過麥田、門徒饑、摘穗而食、法利賽人見之、謂耶穌曰、爾門徒所行、安息日不當行也、答曰、經載大衛及從者饑時所行之事、爾未讀之乎、彼入天主殿、食陳設之餅、非彼可食、從者亦不可食、惟祭司可食、又未讀律法所載、祭司於安息日在聖殿中犯安息日之例、而無罪乎、我告爾、在此有大於聖殿者、經云、我欲矜恤、不欲祭祀、爾若知此言之意、則不罪無辜者矣、蓋人子亦安息日之主也、○

首日當有聖會、無論何工、悉毋作、

爾告以色列人云、爾曹至我所賜爾之地、刈獲稼穡、當以初刈之禾一束、奉於祭司、祭司以禾束搖於主前、使爾曹蒙悅納、即於安息日之次日、祭司搖之、

七日間當食無酵餅、首日必除有酵之物於爾室、自首日至七日、凡食有酵之物、其人必見絕於以色列、

自安息日之次日、即獻而搖禾束之日、當數七七日、

當核七七日、自初用鐮刈榖之日、核其七七日、
