凡此何一非因信德而見稱者乎？顧其未獲所許者何也？

既奉世教為寶訓、向我朝拜亦徒然。」蓋天主之命、爾則棄之、人之習俗、爾則執之。』又曰：『爾曹之所以廢棄天主誡命、而維護爾之習俗者、亦已巧矣！蓋摩西曰：「敬爾父母、咒詛其父母者死無貸；」而爾曹則曰：「人若謂父母云我所供爾之養、已割爾盤、謂已作獻主之儀、」於是爾曹遂不復許其供奉父母。是以爾之習俗、廢天主之聖道也。爾之所為、類若斯。』

信德者、乃所望諸事之確保、而未見諸事之心證也。古之人有因斯而見稱者焉。
