羣眾看見，就起了敬畏的心，將榮耀歸與上帝，因為他將這樣的權柄也賜給人。

敬畏的心抓住了眾人，他們就將榮耀歸與上帝說：『大神言人在我們中間興起來了；上帝眷顧他的子民了。』

她們就趕緊離開墳墓，又敬畏、又大大歡喜，跑去報告他的門徒。

西門彼得看見，就拜倒在耶穌膝前，說：『主啊，離開我，我是個罪人！』

格迦薩周圍地區所有的眾民、因被大懼怕所困迫、就求耶穌離開他們。耶穌便上船回去了。

羣眾都驚奇說：『這難道是大衛的子孫麼？』

這城必在地上萬國人面前使我得可喜可樂的名聲，得頌讚，得榮美，因為他們必聽見我向這城的人所賜的一切福樂；因我向這城所賜的一切福樂、一切平安興隆、列國的人都必恐懼戰兢。

官長們又威嚇一番，就把他們釋放了。為了人民的緣故、官長們都找不出怎樣來刑罰使徒，因為眾人為了所發生的事都將榮耀歸與上帝。

後來以色列人必回轉過來，尋求他們的上帝永恆主、和他們的王大衛；日後他們必戰驚恐懼地傾慕永恆主和他的恩惠。

他們就因我的緣故而榮耀上帝。

那人就起來，立刻拿起鋪蓋來，當眾人面前出去了；以致眾人都驚奇，將榮耀歸與上帝說：『我們從來沒有見過這樣的事啊。』

整個教會、以及所有聽見這些事的人、都大起敬畏的心。許多神迹奇事、藉着使徒的手、在民間行了出來。眾人都同心合意的在所羅門廊之下。會外的人沒有一個敢接近使徒的；人民卻尊重他們。
