Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting,“ You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah.

You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.

“ Leave us alone! What business do You have with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are— the Holy One of God!”But Jesus rebuked him, saying,“ Be quiet and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst of the people, it came out of him without doing him any harm.

And whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, they would fall down before Him and shout,“ You are the Son of God!”

And the tempter came and said to Him,“ If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

And they cried out, saying,“ What business do You have with us, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”

But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest said to Him,“ I place You under oath by the living God, to tell us whether You are the Christ, the Son of God.”

but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that by believing you may have life in His name.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying,“ Be quiet, and come out of him!”
