耶穌應曰：『何爾信德之薄、而憂懼之多也！』遂起、斥風與海、霎時風平而浪靜、萬籟俱寂、一片安寧。

魔呼號、力予拘攣而出。孩似氣絕、人多謂其已死。

門徒潛謁耶穌曰：『吾儕莫之能祛、何也？』

門徒醒之曰：『夫子、夫子、吾儕死矣。』耶穌起斥風浪、風浪立止、一片安恬、萬籟俱寂。

邪魔乃拘攣其人、呼號而去。

童甫至、鬼復摔之倒地、痙攣益甚。耶穌訶斥邪魔、療童以歸諸其父。

諸天乎、在天之眾聖乎、可以懽忻而鼓舞矣！

倘有較強者、襲而勝之、則盡奪其所恃之武器、而分其貲矣。

邪魔一見耶穌、率皆伏地呼曰：『汝天主子也！』耶穌嚴斥毋揚。

不幸中魔、忽焉狂呼、頓起痙攣、口流涎沫、鬼魔重創之、終莫之離、

主語作惡者。何事研玉律。口頭誦盟約。心中存乖逆。

隨葆樂後而呼曰：『是為至尊天主之僕、以拯救之道授爾眾。』如是者多日；葆樂不勝其擾、乃顧為鬼曰：『吾奉耶穌基督之名、命汝即離其身！』鬼出、
