上主之神、臨我之身；恩膏沐首、大命是膺。天主遣我、所為何因：窮苦無告、得聆福音；俘囚獲釋、瞽者復明；困者以解、屈者以伸；

The spirit of the sovereign LORD is upon me, because the LORD has chosen me. He has commissioned me to encourage the poor, to help the brokenhearted, to decree the release of captives, and the freeing of prisoners,

The blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news proclaimed to them.

vindicates the oppressed, and gives food to the hungry. The LORD releases the imprisoned.The LORD gives sight to the blind. The LORD lifts up all who are bent over. The LORD loves the godly.

with respect to Jesus from Nazareth, that God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with him.

So he answered them,“ Go tell John what you have seen and heard: The blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have good news proclaimed to them.

to open their eyes so that they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

to open blind eyes, to release prisoners from dungeons, those who live in darkness from prisons.

I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in darkness.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves,

On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.The one who says he is in the light but still hates his fellow Christian is still in the darkness.The one who loves his fellow Christian resides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.

At that time the deaf will be able to hear words read from a scroll, and the eyes of the blind will be able to see through deep darkness.The downtrodden will again rejoice in the LORD; the poor among humankind will take delight in the Holy One of Israel.

Eyes will no longer be blind and ears will be attentive.

the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light,and on those who sit in the region and shadow of death a light has dawned.”

I will lead the blind along an unfamiliar way; I will guide them down paths they have never traveled. I will turn the darkness in front of them into light, and level out the rough ground. This is what I will do for them. I will not abandon them.Those who trust in idols will turn back and be utterly humiliated, those who say to metal images,‘ You are our gods.’”“ Listen, you deaf ones! Take notice, you blind ones!

He heals the brokenhearted, and bandages their wounds.

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, shouting,“ Have mercy on us, Son of David!”When he went into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them,“ Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him,“ Yes, Lord.”Then he touched their eyes saying,“ Let it be done for you according to your faith.”And their eyes were opened. Then Jesus sternly warned them,“ See that no one knows about this.”

For you all are sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness.So then we must not sleep as the rest, but must stay alert and sober.

Then blind eyes will open, deaf ears will hear.

You will say to the prisoners,‘ Come out,’ and to those who are in dark dungeons,‘ Emerge.’ They will graze beside the roads; on all the slopes they will find pasture.

Then he looked up at his disciples and said:“ Blessed are you who are poor, for the kingdom of God belongs to you.

For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for he does not give the Spirit sparingly.

He first found his own brother Simon and told him,“ We have found the Messiah!”( which is translated Christ).

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters! Did not God choose the poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he promised to those who love him?

Can spoils be taken from a warrior, or captives be rescued from a conqueror?Indeed,” says the LORD,“ captives will be taken from a warrior; spoils will be rescued from a conqueror. I will oppose your adversary and I will rescue your children.

Shake off the dirt! Get up, captive Jerusalem! Take off the iron chains around your neck, O captive daughter Zion!For this is what the LORD says:“ You were sold for nothing, and you will not be redeemed for money.”

The LORD’s spirit will rest on him– a spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom, a spirit that provides the ability to execute plans, a spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the LORD.He will take delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by mere appearances, or make decisions on the basis of hearsay.He will treat the poor fairly, and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and order the wicked to be executed.Justice will be like a belt around his waist, integrity will be like a belt around his hips.

The LORD is near the brokenhearted; he delivers those who are discouraged.

It is me– I stir him up and commission him; I will make all his ways level. He will rebuild my city; he will send my exiled people home, but not for a price or a bribe,” says the LORD who commands armies.

Moreover, as for you, because of our covenant relationship secured with blood, I will release your prisoners from the waterless pit.Return to the stronghold, you prisoners, with hope; today I declare that I will return double what was taken from you.

for you were at one time darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light–for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth–trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.For the things they do in secret are shameful even to mention.But all things being exposed by the light are made evident.For everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says:“ Awake, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!”

“ Seventy weeks have been determined concerning your people and your holy city to put an end to rebellion, to bring sin to completion, to atone for iniquity, to bring in perpetual righteousness, to seal up the prophetic vision, and to anoint a most holy place.

My hand made them; that is how they came to be,” says the LORD. I show special favor to the humble and contrite, who respect what I have to say.

The kings of the earth form a united front; the rulers collaborate against the LORD and his anointed king.

“ As for me, this is my promise to them,” says the LORD.“ My spirit, who is upon you, and my words, which I have placed in your mouth, will not depart from your mouth or from the mouths of your children and descendants from this time forward,” says the LORD.“ Arise! Shine! For your light arrives! The splendor of the LORD shines on you!For, look, darkness covers the earth and deep darkness covers the nations, but the LORD shines on you; his splendor appears over you.

I will leave in your midst a humble and meek group of people, and they will find safety in the LORD’s presence.

He will not break a bruised reed or extinguish a smoldering wick, until he brings justice to victory.

But for you who respect my name, the sun of vindication will rise with healing wings, and you will skip about like calves released from the stall.

Jesus said,]“ For judgment I have come into this world, so that those who do not see may gain their sight, and the ones who see may become blind.”Some of the Pharisees who were with him heard this and asked him,“ We are not blind too, are we?”Jesus replied,“ If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin, but now because you claim that you can see, your guilt remains.”

“ Here is my servant whom I support, my chosen one in whom I take pleasure. I have placed my spirit on him; he will make just decrees for the nations.He will not cry out or shout; he will not publicize himself in the streets.A crushed reed he will not break, a dim wick he will not extinguish; he will faithfully make just decrees.He will not grow dim or be crushed before establishing justice on the earth; the coastlands will wait in anticipation for his decrees.”

You love justice and hate evil. For this reason God, your God has anointed you with the oil of joy, elevating you above your companions.

The sacrifices God desires are a humble spirit– O God, a humble and repentant heart you will not reject.

“ For indeed both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together in this city against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,

And I will put hostility between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring; her offspring will attack your head, and you will attack her offspring’s heel.”

The LORD said to him,“ Go through the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of the people who moan and groan over all the abominations practiced in it.”

So it was annulled that very day, and then the most afflicted of the flock who kept faith with me knew that that was the word of the LORD.

in order to hear the painful cries of the prisoners, and to set free those condemned to die,

“ I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill.”

For this is what the high and exalted one says, the one who rules forever, whose name is holy:“ I dwell in an exalted and holy place, but also with the discouraged and humiliated, in order to cheer up the humiliated and to encourage the discouraged.

They sat in utter darkness, bound in painful iron chains,because they had rebelled against God’s commands, and rejected the instructions of the sovereign king.So he used suffering to humble them; they stumbled and no one helped them up.They cried out to the LORD in their distress; he delivered them from their troubles.He brought them out of the utter darkness, and tore off their shackles.Let them give thanks to the LORD for his loyal love, and for the amazing things he has done for people!For he shattered the bronze gates, and hacked through the iron bars.

The sovereign LORD has given me the capacity to be his spokesman, so that I know how to help the weary. He wakes me up every morning; he makes me alert so I can listen attentively as disciples do.

‘ You displayed a sensitive spirit and humbled yourself before God when you heard his words concerning this place and its residents. You humbled yourself before me, tore your clothes and wept before me, and I have heard you,’ says the LORD.
