John answered them all,“ I baptize you with water, but one who is more powerful than I am is coming. I am not worthy to untie the strap of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John responded to them all, saying,“ As for me, I baptize you with water; but He is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the straps of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered, saying to all,“ I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but there cometh he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire:

因為約翰是用水施洗，而你們過了這不多幾日、卻要在聖靈裏受洗了。』

我正開始講的時候，聖靈便降在他們身上，正像當初降在我們身上一樣。我就想起主的話，他怎樣說：「約翰施洗是用水的，但你們呢、卻要在聖靈裏受洗。」

我從前也不認識他；但那差我用水施洗的對我說：「你看見靈降下、停在誰上頭，誰就是那用聖靈施洗的。」

我是用水給你們洗，叫你們悔改的；但在我以後來的那一位呢、比我有力量，他的鞋我不配提的，他必用聖靈與火給你們洗。

保羅說：『約翰是用悔改的洗禮施洗的；他告訴人要信那在他以後來的，就是要信耶穌。』他們聽了，就受洗禮歸於主耶穌的名；

約翰回答他們說：『我是用水施洗的；但有一位你們不認識的、站在你們中間，

我們眾人、或猶太人、或希利尼人、或為奴的、或自主的、都在這獨一的靈受洗、歸於獨一的身體；也都得恩賜來吸飲這獨一的靈。

但他來的日子誰能當得起呢？他顯現時、誰能站立得住呢？『因為他像煉金之人的火，像漂布之人的鹼。他必坐着、作為熬煉銀子、使它潔淨者；他必使利未人潔淨，他必精煉他們像金子、像銀子，直到他們用對的供物獻與永恆主。

有舌頭像火舌一樣、向他們顯現出來，分散而停在他們每一個人上頭。於是眾人都充滿了聖靈、說起話來，照聖靈給他們去發表的。

『日後我必將我的靈傾注於一切血肉之人；你們的兒女就必說豫言，你們的老年人就作異夢，你們的少年人就見異象。連僕人和使女、當那些日子、我也必將我的靈傾注於他們。

信我的人就如經上所說：「必有活水之江河，從他腹中流出。」』

在耶穌進來以前、約翰已經豫先向以色列眾民宣傳悔改的洗禮了。約翰將要完盡他的跑程時、曾經說了：「你們所猜想我的、我並不是。不，有一位在我以後來的、他腳上的鞋我並不配脫。」

我必使這三分之一經過火，我必熬煉他們，像人熬煉銀子；試煉他們，像試煉金子。他們就必呼求我的名，我就應他們。我要說：「他們是我的子民」；他們個個都要說：「永恆主是我的上帝。」

他宣傳說：『在我以後來的有一位比我有力量；他的鞋帶，我彎着腰去解也不配。我是用水給你們洗的，他、卻要用聖靈給你們洗。』

我必用清水灑洗你們，你們就潔淨、沒有任何污穢；我必潔淨你們、除掉你們一切的偶像。

因為我必將水澆灌乾渴之處，將河流灌溉乾旱之地；我必將我的靈澆灌你的後裔，將我的祝福倒給你出的子孫。他們必發生像水間的草，像流水旁的楊柳樹。

等到聖靈從高處傾注於我們，曠野就變為園地，園地就被看為樹林了。

你們務要因我的勸責而回轉；看吧，我要將我的心意向你們傾吐，將我的話語叫你們知道。

彼得還講這些話的時候，聖靈就降在所有聽道的人身上。

這樣，他既被高舉在上帝右邊，又從父領受了所應許的聖靈，便將這個、你們所看見所聽見的、傾注下來。

「上帝說：在末後的日子我必將我的靈傾注於一切血肉之人；你們的兒子、你們的女兒、就必說豫言，你們的青年人必看見奇象，你們的老年人必作夢。是的，在那些日子、我必將我的靈傾注於我的僕人、我的婢女，他們就必說豫言。
