耶穌又謂諸徒曰：『曩日與爾同處、予曾明言、摩西律先知書與聖詠中所載予事、悉當應驗。』

He said to them,“ This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”

Jesus said to them,“ This is what I told you while I was still with you. Everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms must come true.”

Then he said to them,“ These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

Then he said,“ When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

He told them,“ These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you— that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

Now He said to them,“ These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all the things that are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

Then He said to them,“ These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”

Then He told them,“ These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you— that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

And he said unto them, These[ are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and[ in] the prophets, and[ in] the psalms, concerning me.

Behooved it not the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look unto me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first- born.

that God hath fulfilled the same unto our children, in that he raised up Jesus; as also it is written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee; he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.

And I fell down before his feet to worship him. And he saith unto me, See thou do it not: I am a fellow- servant with thee and with thy brethren that hold the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem; and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she hath received of Jehovah’s hand double for all her sins.The voice of one that crieth, Prepare ye in the wilderness the way of Jehovah; make level in the desert a highway for our God.Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain:and the glory of Jehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken it.The voice of one saying, Cry. Jehovah thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;according to all that thou desiredst of Jehovah thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.And Jehovah said unto me, They have well said that which they have spoken.I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

For the law having a shadow of the good things to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh.

Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me; to him shall ye hearken in all things whatsoever he shall speak unto you.And it shall be, that every soul that shall not hearken to that prophet, shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.Yea and all the prophets from Samuel and them that followed after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days.

He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,saying that the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

For if ye believed Moses, ye would believe me; for he wrote of me.

Behold, my servant shall deal wisely, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.Like as many were astonished at thee( his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men),so shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they understand.Who hath believed our message? and to whom hath the arm of Jehovah been revealed?For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not.Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who among them considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due?And they made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand.He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities.Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Sacrifice and offering thou hast no delight in; Mine ears hast thou opened: Burnt- offering and sin- offering hast thou not required.Then said I, Lo, I am come; In the roll of the book it is written of me:I delight to do thy will, O my God; Yea, thy law is within my heart.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

And I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.Then said I, I will not feed you: that which dieth, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let them that are left eat every one the flesh of another.And I took my staff Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.And it was broken in that day; and thus the poor of the flock that gave heed unto me knew that it was the word of Jehovah.And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my hire; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my hire thirty pieces of silver.And Jehovah said unto me, Cast it unto the potter, the goodly price that I was prized at by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them unto the potter, in the house of Jehovah.

And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots shall bear fruit.And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.And his delight shall be in the fear of Jehovah; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears;but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.And righteousness shall be the girdle of his waist, and faithfulness the girdle of his loins.And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den.They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.And it shall come to pass in that day, that the root of Jesse, that standeth for an ensign of the peoples, unto him shall the nations seek; and his resting- place shall be glorious.

The stone which the builders rejected Is become the head of the corner.

Let these words sink into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered up into the hands of men.

And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith Jehovah of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered; and I will turn my hand upon the little ones.

From that time began Jesus to show unto his disciples, that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou answerest not; And in the night season, and am not silent.But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.Our fathers trusted in thee: They trusted, and thou didst deliver them.They cried unto thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not put to shame.But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people.All they that see me laugh me to scorn: They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,Commit thyself unto Jehovah; let him deliver him: Let him rescue him, seeing he delighteth in him.But thou art he that took me out of the womb; Thou didst make me trust when I was upon my mother’s breasts.I was cast upon thee from the womb; Thou art my God since my mother bare me.Be not far from me; for trouble is near; For there is none to help.Many bulls have compassed me; Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.They gape upon me with their mouth, As a ravening and a roaring lion.I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.For dogs have compassed me: A company of evil- doers have inclosed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.I may count all my bones. They look and stare upon me;They part my garments among them, And upon my vesture do they cast lots.But be not thou far off, O Jehovah: O thou my succor, haste thee to help me.Deliver my soul from the sword, My darling from the power of the dog.Save me from the lion’s mouth; Yea, from the horns of the wild- oxen thou hast answered me.I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the assembly will I praise thee.Ye that fear Jehovah, praise him; All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; And stand in awe of him, all ye the seed of Israel.For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath he hid his face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard.Of thee cometh my praise in the great assembly: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.The meek shall eat and be satisfied; They shall praise Jehovah that seek after him: Let your heart live for ever.All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto Jehovah; And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.For the kingdom is Jehovah’s; And he is the ruler over the nations.All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship: All they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, Even he that cannot keep his soul alive.A seed shall serve him; It shall be told of the Lord unto the next generation.They shall come and shall declare his righteousness Unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done it.

the Holy Spirit this signifying, that the way into the holy place hath not yet been made manifest, while the first tabernacle is yet standing;

For my love they are my adversaries: But I give myself unto prayer.And they have rewarded me evil for good, And hatred for my love.Set thou a wicked man over him; And let an adversary stand at his right hand.When he is judged, let him come forth guilty; And let his prayer be turned into sin.Let his days be few; And let another take his office.Let his children be fatherless, And his wife a widow.Let his children be vagabonds, and beg; And let them seek their bread out of their desolate places.Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; And let strangers make spoil of his labor.Let there be none to extend kindness unto him; Neither let there be any to have pity on his fatherless children.Let his posterity be cut off; In the generation following let their name be blotted out.Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with Jehovah; And let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.Let them be before Jehovah continually, That he may cut off the memory of them from the earth;Because he remembered not to show kindness, But persecuted the poor and needy man, And the broken in heart, to slay them.Yea, he loved cursing, and it came unto him; And he delighted not in blessing, and it was far from him.He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment, And it came into his inward parts like water, And like oil into his bones.Let it be unto him as the raiment wherewith he covereth himself, And for the girdle wherewith he is girded continually.This is the reward of mine adversaries from Jehovah, And of them that speak evil against my soul.

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

O Jehovah, the God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee.Let my prayer enter into thy presence; Incline thine ear unto my cry.For my soul is full of troubles, And my life draweth nigh unto Sheol.I am reckoned with them that go down into the pit; I am as a man that hath no help,Cast off among the dead, Like the slain that lie in the grave, Whom thou rememberest no more, And they are cut off from thy hand.Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, In dark places, in the deeps.Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, And thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves.[ SelahThou hast put mine acquaintance far from me; Thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.Mine eye wasteth away by reason of affliction: I have called daily upon thee, O Jehovah; I have spread forth my hands unto thee.Wilt thou show wonders to the dead? And thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?But unto thee, O Jehovah, have I cried; And in the morning shall my prayer come before thee.Jehovah, why castest thou off my soul? Why hidest thou thy face from me?I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: While I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.Thy fierce wrath is gone over me; Thy terrors have cut me off.They came round about me like water all the day long; They compassed me about together.Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, And mine acquaintance into darkness.

This is that Moses, who said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: My flesh also shall dwell in safety.For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.Thou wilt show me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye peoples, from far: Jehovah hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name:and he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me: and he hath made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he kept me close:and he said unto me, Thou art my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified.But I said, I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nought and vanity; yet surely the justice due to me is with Jehovah, and my recompense with my God.And now saith Jehovah that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered unto him( for I am honorable in the eyes of Jehovah, and my God is become my strength);yea, he saith, It is too light a thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.Thus saith Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of Jehovah that is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.Thus saith Jehovah, In an acceptable time have I answered thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee; and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages;

Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delighteth: I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.He will not cry, nor lift up his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street.A bruised reed will he not break, and a dimly burning wick will he not quench: he will bring forth justice in truth.He will not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set justice in the earth; and the isles shall wait for his law.

and the congregation shall deliver the manslayer out of the hand of the avenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to his city of refuge, whither he was fled: and he shall dwell therein until the death of the high priest, who was anointed with the holy oil.

Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the anointed one, the prince, shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troublous times.And after the threescore and two weeks shall the anointed one be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and even unto the end shall be war; desolations are determined.And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate.

But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by Jehovah their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.Now when she had weaned Lo- ruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.And Jehovah said, Call his name Lo- ammi; for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that, in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.And the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and they shall appoint themselves one head, and shall go up from the land; for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken- hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;to proclaim the year of Jehovah’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a standard: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he seeth it, shall live.

and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.The Lord Jehovah hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward.I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair; I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was priest of God Most High.

Save me, O God; For the waters are come in unto my soul.I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.I am weary with my crying; my throat is dried: Mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: They that would cut me off, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: That which I took not away I have to restore.O God, thou knowest my foolishness; And my sins are not hid from thee.Let not them that wait for thee be put to shame through me, O Lord Jehovah of hosts: Let not those that seek thee be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel.Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; Shame hath covered my face.I am become a stranger unto my brethren, And an alien unto my mother’s children.For the zeal of thy house hath eaten me up; And the reproaches of them that reproach thee are fallen upon me.When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, That was to my reproach.When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword unto them.They that sit in the gate talk of me; And I am the song of the drunkards.But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Jehovah, in an acceptable time: O God, in the abundance of thy lovingkindness, Answer me in the truth of thy salvation.Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: Let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.Let not the waterflood overwhelm me, Neither let the deep swallow me up; And let not the pit shut its mouth upon me.Answer me, O Jehovah; for thy lovingkindness is good: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies turn thou unto me.And hide not thy face from thy servant; For I am in distress; answer me speedily.Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: Ransom me because of mine enemies.Thou knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor: Mine adversaries are all before thee.Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: And I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.They gave me also gall for my food; And in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.Let their table before them become a snare; And when they are in peace, let it become a trap.Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see; And make their loins continually to shake.Pour out thine indignation upon them, And let the fierceness of thine anger overtake them.Let their habitation be desolate; Let none dwell in their tents.For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; And they tell of the sorrow of those whom thou hast wounded.Add iniquity unto their iniquity; And let them not come into thy righteousness.Let them be blotted out of the book of life, And not be written with the righteous.But I am poor and sorrowful: Let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify him with thanksgiving.And it will please Jehovah better than an ox, Or a bullock that hath horns and hoofs.The meek have seen it, and are glad: Ye that seek after God, let your heart live.For Jehovah heareth the needy, And despiseth not his prisoners.Let heaven and earth praise him, The seas, and everything that moveth therein.For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah; And they shall abide there, and have it in possession.The seed also of his servants shall inherit it; And they that love his name shall dwell therein.

searching what time or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did point unto, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow them.

Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

Now shalt thou gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us; they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.But thou, Beth- lehem Ephrathah, which art little to be among the thousands of Judah, out of thee shall one come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she who travaileth hath brought forth: then the residue of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.And he shall stand, and shall feed his flock in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah his God: and they shall abide; for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek Jehovah their God, and David their king, and shall come with fear unto Jehovah and to his goodness in the latter days.

Why do the nations rage, And the peoples meditate a vain thing?The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying,Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us.He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision.Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure:Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion.I will tell of the decree: Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son; This day have I begotten thee.Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth.Serve Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling.Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that take refuge in him.

And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken;

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

I saw in the night- visions, and, behold, there came with the clouds of heaven one like unto a son of man, and he came even to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also take of the lofty top of the cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and I will plant it upon a high and lofty mountain:

And in the days of those kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall the sovereignty thereof be left to another people; but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner- stone of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste.

and he said unto them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day;

But these things have I spoken unto you, that when their hour is come, ye may remember them, how that I told you. And these things I said not unto you from the beginning, because I was with you.But now I go unto him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

Ye search the scriptures, because ye think that in them ye have eternal life; and these are they which bear witness of me;

They said therefore one to another, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my garments among them, And upon my vesture did they cast lots.These things therefore the soldiers did. But there were standing by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold, thy son!Then saith he to the disciple, Behold, thy mother! And from that hour the disciple took her unto his own home.After this Jesus, knowing that all things are now finished, that the scripture might be accomplished, saith, I thirst.There was set there a vessel full of vinegar: so they put a sponge full of the vinegar upon hyssop, and brought it to his mouth.When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.The Jews therefore, because it was the Preparation, that the bodies should not remain on the cross upon the sabbath( for the day of that sabbath was a high day), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.The soldiers therefore came, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other that was crucified with him:but when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:howbeit one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and straightway there came out blood and water.And he that hath seen hath borne witness, and his witness is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye also may believe.For these things came to pass, that the scripture might be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

And when they had fulfilled all things that were written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a tomb.But God raised him from the dead:and he was seen for many days of them that came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses unto the people.

and I will shake all nations; and the precious things of all nations shall come; and I will fill this house with glory, saith Jehovah of hosts.The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith Jehovah of hosts.The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, saith Jehovah of hosts; and in this place will I give peace, saith Jehovah of hosts.

And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be delivered up into the hands of men;and they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised up. And they were exceeding sorry.

Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom ye desire, behold, he cometh, saith Jehovah of hosts.But who can abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:and he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them as gold and silver; and they shall offer unto Jehovah offerings in righteousness.

saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests and the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him unto the Gentiles:and they shall mock him, and shall spit upon him, and shall scourge him, and shall kill him; and after three days he shall rise again.

But unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings; and ye shall go forth, and gambol as calves of the stall.And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I make, saith Jehovah of hosts.Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances.Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of Jehovah come.And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers; lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered up into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and when he is killed, after three days he shall rise again.

And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the mount of Olives shall be cleft in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

How then should the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up;

and Jehovah said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the veil, before the mercy- seat which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy- seat.Herewith shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin- offering, and a ram for a burnt- offering.He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with the linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: they are the holy garments; and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and put them on.And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two he- goats for a sin- offering, and one ram for a burnt- offering.And Aaron shall present the bullock of the sin- offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself, and for his house.And he shall take the two goats, and set them before Jehovah at the door of the tent of meeting.And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for Jehovah, and the other lot for Azazel.And Aaron shall present the goat upon which the lot fell for Jehovah, and offer him for a sin- offering.But the goat, on which the lot fell for Azazel, shall be set alive before Jehovah, to make atonement for him, to send him away for Azazel into the wilderness.And Aaron shall present the bullock of the sin- offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin- offering which is for himself.And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before Jehovah, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil:and he shall put the incense upon the fire before Jehovah, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy- seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:and he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy- seat on the east; and before the mercy- seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.Then shall he kill the goat of the sin- offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy- seat, and before the mercy- seat:and he shall make atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleannesses of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, even all their sins: and so shall he do for the tent of meeting, that dwelleth with them in the midst of their uncleannesses.And there shall be no man in the tent of meeting when he goeth in to make atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.And he shall go out unto the altar that is before Jehovah, and make atonement for it, and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleannesses of the children of Israel.

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh come; And unto him shall the obedience of the peoples be.

Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.

And he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets shall be accomplished unto the Son of man.For he shall be delivered up unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and shamefully treated, and spit upon:and they shall scourge and kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.And they understood none of these things; and this saying was hid from them, and they perceived not the things that were said.

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my Spirit.And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Jehovah cometh.And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered; for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those that escape, as Jehovah hath said, and among the remnant those whom Jehovah doth call.

And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.And he spake the saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.

Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests and scribes; and they shall condemn him to death,and shall deliver him unto the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify: and the third day he shall be raised up.

And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are.While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.

and Paul, as his custom was, went in unto them, and for three sabbath days reasoned with them from the scriptures,opening and alleging that it behooved the Christ to suffer, and to rise again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom, said he, I proclaim unto you, is the Christ.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which also I received: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;and that he was buried; and that he hath been raised on the third day according to the scriptures;

But all this is come to pass, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples left him, and fled.

For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

But the things which God foreshowed by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.

For I say unto you, that this which is written must be fulfilled in me, And he was reckoned with transgressors: for that which concerneth me hath fulfilment.

A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me.Some of his disciples therefore said one to another, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye behold me not; and again a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old;

and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: he shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
