The disciples were still talking about this when Jesus himself suddenly stood among them. He said,“ May you have peace!”

While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”

While they were saying these things, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”

Later Jesus appeared to the 11 disciples as they were eating. He spoke firmly to them because they had no faith. They would not believe those who had seen him after he rose from the dead.

I leave my peace with you. I give my peace to you. I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be troubled. And do not be afraid.

A week later, Jesus’ disciples were in the house again. Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came in and stood among them. He said,“ May peace be with you!”

If that home welcomes you, give it your blessing of peace. If it does not, don’t bless it.

On the evening of that first day of the week, the disciples were together. They had locked the doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Jesus came in and stood among them. He said,“ May peace be with you!”Then he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were very happy when they saw the Lord.Again Jesus said,“ May peace be with you! The Father has sent me. So now I am sending you.”He then breathed on them. He said,“ Receive the Holy Spirit.If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven. If you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

I have seen what they have done. But I will heal them. I will guide them. I will give those who mourn in Israel the comfort they had before.

I, John, am writing this letter. I am sending it to the seven churches in Asia Minor. May grace and peace come to you from God. He is the one who is, and who was, and who will come. May grace and peace come to you from the seven spirits. These spirits are in front of God’s throne.

“ When you enter a house, first say,‘ May this house be blessed with peace.’

“ I have told you these things, so that you can have peace because of me. In this world you will have trouble. But be encouraged! I have won the battle over the world.”

May the Lord who gives peace give you peace at all times and in every way. May the Lord be with all of you.
