Pilate turned to the leading priests and to the crowd and said,“ I find nothing wrong with this man!”

比辣多謂司祭諸長及群眾曰：『吾未見其罪也。』

Then Pilate announced to the chief priests and the crowd,“ I find no basis for a charge against this man.”

Then Pilate spoke to the chief priests and the crowd. He announced,“ I find no basis for a charge against this man.”

Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds,“ I find no guilt in this man.”

Pilate then told the chief priests and the crowds,“ I find no grounds for charging this man.”

But Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds,“ I find no grounds for charges in the case of this man.”

So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd,“ I find no fault in this Man.”

And Pilate said unto the chief priests and the multitudes, I find no fault in this man.

Pilate then told the chief priests and the crowds,“ I find no grounds for charging this man.”

Then said Pilate to the chief priests and[ to] the people, I find no fault in this man.

Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds,“ I find no basis for an accusation against this man.”

Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes,“ I find no basis for a charge against this man.”

“ What is truth?” Pilate asked. Then he went out again to the people and told them,“ He is not guilty of any crime.

For the third time he demanded,“ Why? What crime has he committed? I have found no reason to sentence him to death. So I will have him flogged, and then I will release him.”

“ Why?” Pilate demanded.“ What crime has he committed?” But the mob roared even louder,“ Crucify him!”

He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.

and he announced his verdict.“ You brought this man to me, accusing him of leading a revolt. I have examined him thoroughly on this point in your presence and find him innocent.Herod came to the same conclusion and sent him back to us. Nothing this man has done calls for the death penalty.

He is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin. He has been set apart from sinners and has been given the highest place of honor in heaven.

“ Why?” Pilate demanded.“ What crime has he committed?” But the mob roared even louder,“ Crucify him!”Pilate saw that he wasn’t getting anywhere and that a riot was developing. So he sent for a bowl of water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying,“ I am innocent of this man’s blood. The responsibility is yours!”

It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.

Pilate went outside again and said to the people,“ I am going to bring him out to you now, but understand clearly that I find him not guilty.”Then Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said,“ Look, here is the man!”When they saw him, the leading priests and Temple guards began shouting,“ Crucify him! Crucify him!”“ Take him yourselves and crucify him,” Pilate said.“ I find him not guilty.”

Just then, as Pilate was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him this message:“ Leave that innocent man alone. I suffered through a terrible nightmare about him last night.”

Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.
