Then Jesus said,“ Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots.

耶穌曰：『父乎、眾不知其所為、祈寬赦之。』

Jesus said,“ Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice,“ Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:“ Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”;who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;

which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

“ But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

They divide My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.

‘ Thus you shall say to Joseph:“ I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you.”’ Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

“ Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.He who hates Me hates My Father also.If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father.

So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying,“ Certainly this was a righteous Man!”And the whole crowd who came together to that sight, seeing what had been done, beat their breasts and returned.

Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top in one piece.They said therefore among themselves,“ Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says:“ They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.” Therefore the soldiers did these things.

At that time Jesus answered and said,“ I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.

And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

And when they crucified Him, they divided His garments, casting lots for them to determine what every man should take.

Jesus answered,“ You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”

When they envied Moses in the camp, And Aaron the saint of the Lord,The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan, And covered the faction of Abiram.A fire was kindled in their company; The flame burned up the wicked.They made a calf in Horeb, And worshiped the molded image.Thus they changed their glory Into the image of an ox that eats grass.They forgot God their Savior, Who had done great things in Egypt,Wondrous works in the land of Ham, Awesome things by the Red Sea.Therefore He said that He would destroy them, Had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, To turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them.

Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet:“ They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.”Sitting down, they kept watch over Him there.
