The disciples said,“ See, Lord, here are two swords.”“ That’s enough!” he replied.

“ Look, Lord,” they replied,“ we have two swords among us.”“ That’s enough,” he said.

They said,“ Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them,“ It is enough.”

So they said,“ Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them,“ It is enough.”

And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

“ Lord,” they said,“ look, here are two swords.”“ Enough of that!” He told them.

And they said, Lord, behold, here[ are] two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

They said,“ Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them,“ That is enough.”

Then Jesus said to him,“ Put your sword back in its place! For all who take hold of the sword will die by the sword.Or do you think that I cannot call on my Father, and that he would send me more than twelve legions of angels right now?How then would the scriptures that say it must happen this way be fulfilled?”

Jesus replied,“ My kingdom is not from this world. If my kingdom were from this world, my servants would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish authorities. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here.”

When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said,“ Lord, should we use our swords?”

For though we live as human beings, we do not wage war according to human standards,for the weapons of our warfare are not human weapons, but are made powerful by God for tearing down strongholds. We tear down arguments

Finally, be strengthened in the Lord and in the strength of his power.Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand.Stand firm therefore, by fastening the belt of truth around your waist, by putting on the breastplate of righteousness,by fitting your feet with the preparation that comes from the good news of peace,and in all of this, by taking up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.With every prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit, and to this end be alert, with all perseverance and requests for all the saints.

But since we are of the day, we must stay sober by putting on the breastplate of faith and love and as a helmet our hope for salvation.

Resist him, strong in your faith, because you know that your brothers and sisters throughout the world are enduring the same kinds of suffering.
