When he had said these things, Jesus went out with his disciples across the Kidron Valley. There was an orchard there, and he and his disciples went into it.( Now Judas, the one who betrayed him, knew the place too, because Jesus had met there many times with his disciples.)

Now when they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,

Then Jesus entered Jerusalem and went to the temple. And after looking around at everything, he went out to Bethany with the twelve since it was already late.

After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Then they went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples,“ Sit here while I pray.”He took Peter, James, and John with him, and became very troubled and distressed.He said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay alert.”

When evening came, Jesus and his disciples went out of the city.

So while he was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,

Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to the disciples,“ Sit here while I go over there and pray.”He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and became anguished and distressed.Then he said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake with me.”
