Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?Have you forgotten Yahweh your Maker, who stretched out the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth? Do you live in fear continually all day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he prepares to destroy? Where is the fury of the oppressor?

And not a hair of your head will perish.“ By your endurance you will win your lives.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;

Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident.

He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in Yahweh.

“ Don’t say,‘ A conspiracy!’ concerning all about which this people say,‘ A conspiracy!’ neither fear their threats, nor be terrorized.

My anguish, my anguish! I am pained at my very heart! My heart trembles within me. I can’t hold my peace, because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.Destruction on destruction is decreed, for the whole land is laid waste. Suddenly my tents are destroyed, and my curtains gone in a moment.

Don’t be afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes;for Yahweh will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being taken.

He said,“ Watch out that you don’t get led astray, for many will come in my name, saying,‘ I am he,’ and,‘ The time is at hand.’ Therefore don’t follow them.
