He* said to them,“ Then how does David in the Spirit call Him‘ Lord,’ saying,‘ The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit at My right hand, Until I put Your enemies under Your feet” ’?Therefore, if David calls Him‘ Lord,’ how is He his son?”

For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.

Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse declares, The man who was raised on high, The anointed of the God of Jacob And the sweet psalmist of Israel, declares,“ The Spirit of the Lord spoke through me, And His word was on my tongue.

Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says,“ Today if you hear His voice,

David himself said in the Holy Spirit,‘ The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit at My right hand, Until I put Your enemies under Your feet.” ’David himself calls Him‘ Lord’; so in what sense is He his son?” And the large crowd enjoyed listening to Him.
