耶稣渐渐长大，智慧与日俱增，越来越受上帝和人们的喜爱。

那孩子渐渐长大，心灵强健，在向以色列人公开露面之前，一直住在旷野。

就像树墩上长出新的枝条，大卫的后裔中必有一人做王。耶和华的灵必住在他身上，使他有聪明和智慧、谋略和能力，能认识并敬畏耶和华。他必以敬畏耶和华为乐。他不凭眼见施行审判，不凭耳闻断定是非，而是按公义审判贫穷人，以公正为受苦者断案。他必用口中的杖击打世界，以嘴里的气杀戮恶人。公义必作他的腰带，信实必作他肋下的带子。

道成为肉身，住在我们中间，充满了恩典和真理。我们见过祂的荣耀，正是父独一儿子的荣耀。

小撒母耳渐渐长大，深受耶和华和民众的喜爱。

撒母耳渐渐长大，耶和华与他同在，使他所说的话没有一句落空。

耶和华啊，是你使我从母腹中安然出生，让我在母亲怀里便倚靠你。

祂的知识和对答令听见的人感到惊奇。

谁相信我们所传的呢？耶和华的大能向谁彰显过呢？祂像嫩芽一样在耶和华面前长大，像生长在旱地里的根。祂没有轩昂俊美的外表可以吸引我们，没有令我们羡慕的容貌。

最后，你们要靠着主和祂的大能大力做刚强的人，

使徒充满能力，继续为主耶稣复活的事做见证，上帝也赐下极大的恩典给众人。

后来玛挪亚的妻子生了个儿子，她给孩子取名叫参孙。这孩子渐渐长大，耶和华赐福给他。

那时年少的撒母耳穿着细麻布的以弗得，在耶和华面前事奉。

你俊美无比，口出恩言，因此上帝永远赐福给你。

为要使你们众人心受鼓励，联结在爱里，有丰富笃定的真知灼见，可以认识上帝的奥秘。这奥秘就是基督，一切智慧和知识都蕴藏在祂里面。

我儿啊！你要靠着基督耶稣的恩典刚强起来。
