Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

在耶路撒冷有一个人，名叫西面，这人公义虔诚，一向期待以色列的安慰者来到，又有圣灵在他身上。

但我们素来盼望要救赎以色列的就是他。不但这样，这些事发生到今天，已经是第三天了。

感谢神，他的恩赐难以形容。

一个一向等候神国度的尊贵的议员，亚利马太的约瑟来了，就放胆地进去见彼拉多，求领耶稣的身体。

“主，以色列的神，是应当称颂的，因他眷顾自己的子民，施行救赎，

撒迦利亚的口舌立刻开了，就出声称颂神。住在周围的人都害怕，这一切事传遍了整个犹太山地，凡听见的就把这些事放在心里，说：“这孩子将会成为怎样的人呢？因为主的手与他同在。”

马利亚说：“我心尊主为大，我灵以神我的救主为乐，因为他垂顾他婢女的卑微，看哪！今后万代都要称我为有福。全能者为我行了大事，他的名为圣；他的怜悯世世代代归与敬畏他的人。他用膀臂施展大能，驱散心里妄想的狂傲人。他使有权能的失位，叫卑微的升高，让饥饿的得饱美食，使富足的空手回去。他扶助了他的仆人以色列，为要记念他的怜悯，正如他向我们列祖所说的，恩待亚伯拉罕和他的后裔，直到永远。”马利亚和以利沙伯同住约有三个月，就回家去了。

我们主耶稣基督的父神是应当称颂的。他在基督里，曾经把天上各种属灵的福分赐给我们：

西面就把他接到手上，称颂神说：“主啊，现在照你的话，释放仆人平平安安地去吧！因我的眼睛已经看见你的救恩，就是你在万民面前所预备的，为要作外族人启示的光，和你民以色列的荣耀。”

是犹太地亚利马太城的人，一向等候神的国，并不附和众人的计谋和行为。
