二人在各教會中為他們選立了長老，用禱告帶禁食、將他們託付於所信靠的主。

這應許、我們十二個支派晝夜熱切地事奉上帝、都指望得到的。王啊，我被猶太人控告的、正是為了這個指望。

於是他們禁食禱告，給二人按手，就打發他們走了。

儘我一生的日子必有福祉和堅愛隨着我；我必長久住在永恆主的殿中。

住在你殿中的有福啊；他們老在頌讚着你呢。（細拉）

在你的院子一日，勝過在別處一千日，寧可在我上帝之殿的門檻上站着，也不願在邪惡之公館住一代。

哈利路亞！你們要頌讚永恆主的名。永恆主的僕人哪，在永恆主殿中站班的啊，在我們的上帝的殿院裏站班的啊，你們要頌讚，

他用銅作洗濯盆，也用銅作盆座，用那些在會棚出入處服役的女工的銅鏡子作的。

有人對耶穌說：『約翰的門徒常常禁食，作祈求上帝的事；法利賽人的門徒也是這樣；惟獨你的門徒也喫也喝！』

沒有聖者像永恆主；除了你以外沒有別的；也沒有磐石像我們的上帝。

有一件事我曾求過永恆主，我還要尋求：就是儘我一生的日子住在永恆主的殿中，瞻仰永恆主的恩美，在他的殿堂裏求問。

得勝的、我必使他做柱石在我的上帝的殿堂中；他決不再出去到外面。我必將我的上帝之名、和我的上帝之城的名（新的耶路撒冷、那由天上、從我的上帝那裏降下來的）、連我新的名、都寫在他上面。

故此他們在上帝寶座前，晝夜在他殿堂中事奉他；坐寶座者的榮現必覆庇着他們。

移植於永恆主的殿中，他們發旺於我們的上帝的院子裏。

我的上帝啊，我白日呼求，你不應；我夜間呼求，都得不着安寧。
