他們對耶穌說：「約翰的門徒們經常禁食、祈禱，法利賽人的門徒們也是如此，而你的門徒們卻又吃又喝。」

沒有像耶和華那樣的聖者，除你以外實在沒有；沒有磐石像我們的神。

有一件事我求過耶和華，這件事我還要求問，就是在我一生所有的日子裡，可以居住在耶和華的殿中，仰望耶和華的恩慈，在他的聖殿中尋求；

那得勝的，我將要讓他在我神的聖所中做柱石，他絕不再出去。我要把我神的名，我神之城的名——就是從我的神那裡、從天上降下來的新耶路撒冷的名，和我的新名，都寫在他身上。

因此他們在神的寶座前，日夜在他的聖所中事奉他。那位坐在寶座上的也將庇護他們：

他們被栽種在耶和華的殿中，在我們神的院宇中茂盛。

我的神哪，我白天呼求，你不回應；我在夜間也得不到安寧！
