「為你百姓和你聖城，已經定了七十個七，要止住罪過，除淨罪惡，贖盡罪孽，引進永恆的公義，封住異象和預言，並膏至聖所。你當知道，當明白，從發出命令恢復並重建耶路撒冷，直到受膏的君出現，必有七個七和六十二個七。耶路撒冷城連街帶濠都必在艱難中恢復並重建。過了六十二個七，那受膏者被剪除，一無所有；必有一王的百姓來毀滅這城和聖所，它的結局必如洪水沖沒。必有戰爭，一直到末了，荒涼的事已經定了。

講解和說明基督必須受害，從死人中復活；又說：「我所傳給你們的這位耶穌就是基督。」

關於子，他卻說：「上帝啊，你的寶座是永永遠遠的；你國度的權杖是正直的權杖。你喜愛公義，恨惡罪惡；所以上帝，就是你的上帝，用喜樂油膏你，勝過膏你的同伴。」

「我已經在錫安－我的聖山膏立了我的君王。」

主耶和華不會做任何事情，除非先將奧祕指示他的僕人眾先知。

立刻在各會堂裏傳揚耶穌，說他是上帝的兒子。

「你們來看！有一個人把我素來所做的一切事都說了出來，難道這個人就是基督嗎？」

但記載這些事是要使你們信耶穌是基督，是上帝的兒子，並且使你們信他，好因着他的名得生命。

他先找到自己的哥哥西門，對他說：「我們遇見彌賽亞了。」（「彌賽亞」翻出來就是基督。）

世上的君王都站穩，臣宰一同算計，要對抗耶和華，對抗他的受膏者：

誰能常活不見死亡、救自己脫離陰間的掌控呢？（細拉）主啊，你從前憑你的信實向大衛起誓要施行的慈愛在哪裏呢？
