他們兩人在上帝面前都是義人，遵行主的一切誡命和條例，沒有可指責的。

伊利莎白一聽到馬利亞問安，所懷的胎就在腹裏跳動。伊利莎白被聖靈充滿，

你們的上帝說：「要安慰，安慰我的百姓。

卻沒有附從別人的所謀所為。他是猶太的亞利馬太城人，素常盼望着上帝的國。

這是挪亞的後代。挪亞是個義人，在他的世代中是個完全人。挪亞與上帝同行。

烏斯地有一個人名叫約伯。這人完全、正直、敬畏上帝、遠離惡事。

他們說：「百夫長哥尼流是個義人，敬畏上帝，為猶太全民族所稱讚。他蒙一位聖天使指示，叫他請你到他家裏去，要聽你講話。」

耶和華對撒但說：「你曾用心察看我的僕人約伯沒有？地上再沒有人像他那樣完全、正直、敬畏上帝、遠離惡事。」

我的上帝差遣使者封住獅子的口，叫獅子不傷我，因我在上帝面前無辜。王啊，在你面前我也沒有做過任何虧損的事。」王因此就甚喜樂，吩咐把但以理從坑裏拉上來。於是但以理從坑裏被拉上來，身上毫無損傷，因為他信靠他的上帝。

因此，我勉勵自己，對上帝對人，時常存着無虧的良心。

世人哪，耶和華已指示你何為善。他向你所要的是甚麼呢？只要你行公義，好憐憫，存謙卑的心與你的上帝同行。

摩西對他說：「你為我的緣故嫉妒嗎？惟願耶和華的百姓都是先知，願耶和華把他的靈降在他們身上！」

他是個虔誠人，他和全家都敬畏上帝。他多多賙濟百姓，常常向上帝禱告。

因為預言從來沒有出於人意的，而是人被聖靈感動說出上帝的話來。

他父親撒迦利亞被聖靈充滿，就預言說：

耶和華在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，把降給他的靈分給那七十個長老。靈停在他們身上的時候，他們就說預言，以後卻沒有再說了。
