Then charged he the disciples that they should tell no man that he was the Christ.

but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,that he might redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Some therefore of them of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?And lo, he speaketh openly, and they say nothing unto him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is the Christ?Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when the Christ cometh, no one knoweth whence he is.

not purloining, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men,instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world;looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.

And it had been revealed unto him by the Holy Spirit, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

And hath raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of his servant David

who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,but hath now been manifested by the appearing of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,

Yea verily, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may gain Christ,

And he said unto them, How say they that the Christ is David’s son?For David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet.David therefore calleth him Lord, and how is he his son?
