How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!See, your house is abandoned to you. And I tell you, you will not see Me until the time comes when you say,‘ He who comes in the name of the Lord is the blessed One’!”

I have seen the disloyal and feel disgust because they do not keep Your word.

If my head were a spring of water, my eyes a fountain of tears, I would weep day and night over the slain of my dear people.

Rage seizes me because of the wicked who reject Your instruction.

But if you will not listen, my innermost being will weep in secret because of your pride. My eyes will overflow with tears, for the Lord’s flock has been taken captive.

How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I surrender you, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? I have had a change of heart; My compassion is stirred!

My eyes pour out streams of tears because people do not follow Your instruction.

that I have intense sorrow and continual anguish in my heart.For I could almost wish to be cursed and cut off from the Messiah for the benefit of my brothers, my own flesh and blood.
