将近伯法其和伯大尼，在一座山名叫橄榄山那里，就打发两个门徒，说：

As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them,

He approached Bethphage and Bethany. The hill there was called the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent out two of his disciples. He said to them,

諸徒乃自忠果山返耶路撒冷、山與城相距不遠、約一禮日之程耳。

行近耶路撒冷、抵白德熱村、忠果山下。耶穌遣二徒曰：『爾往前村、將見一驢繫焉、有𩦺與俱；可釋而牽之俱來。人或有言、第告以主所需、彼必立允。』此亦所以應驗先知之言曰：『睹哉西溫女、爾王來就汝。溫恭騎驢背、有𩦺與之俱。』二徒往、遵命行、牽驢及𩦺至、置己衣其上、耶穌騎焉。眾亦紛紛解衣布道、或折枝撒路導前踵後、同聲呼曰：『賀三納兮、大維裔！奉主名而來兮、堪頌美！賀三納兮、高無極！』耶穌入耶路撒冷、舉城閧動、問斯何人；眾對曰：『斯乃加利利納匝肋人先知耶穌也。』

耶穌引諸徒至伯大尼、舉手為之祝嘏。

遂離而出城、至伯大尼宿焉。

至忠果山下、群弟子歡忻踴躍、且以已往親睹之聖迹、同聲頌揚天主曰：

耶穌晝在殿中施訓、夜則出宿忠果山中、眾民夙興、登殿聆訓。

耶穌出、至其常遊之忠果山、諸徒從。

翌日、赴節之群眾聞耶穌將至耶路撒冷、各執椶樹枝出而迎之、呼曰：『賀三納兮義塞王！』奉主名而來兮、堪頌揚！』耶穌得一小驢、乘之、正如經所載云：「西溫女、莫驚惶！伊人來兮、爾之王！爾王安坐驢駒上！」門徒初猶未識此事之意義、迨耶穌膺榮、始悟經之所載、眾之所行、莫非為彼之故耳。

行近耶路撒冷、抵伯大尼、忠果山在邇、耶穌命二徒曰：『爾赴前村、比入將見繫有一𩦺、人所未乘、可解之來。如有人問故、第曰：「主需一用、即當歸還。」』既往、果見一小驢繫戶外、當十字路口、遂解之、旁立者曰：『解𩦺何為？』門徒答如所示；即任牽行。既至耶穌處、置衣驢背耶穌乘焉。眾復舖衣于道、或自田間折樹枝布之；前後護行者、同聲呼曰：『賀三納、奉主名以至者、洵堪丕揚！吾祖大維降臨之國、洵堪丕揚！賀三納、光榮徹上蒼！』耶穌既進耶路撒冷、入聖殿、視陳設。日暮、率十二門徒返伯大尼。
