坐在天上的那一位會譏笑，主會嘲笑他們。那時他在怒氣中向他們說話，在烈怒中使他們惶恐，說：「我在錫安我的聖山上，膏立了我的王。」

財主就把管家叫來，對他說：『我聽到有關你的事，到底是什麼？把你所管理的做出交代，因為你不能再當管家了。』「那管家心裡說：『主人要把我管家的任務拿去了，我能做什麼呢？挖地沒有力氣，乞討又感到羞恥。我知道我該做什麼了，好使我被免除管家的任務以後，人們會接我到他們家裡去。』「於是他把自己主人的每一個欠債人都叫了來。他問第一個：『你欠我主人多少？』「他說：『一百桶油。』「管家就對他說：『拿你的欠條，趕快坐下來寫成五十。』「他問另一個說：『你呢，你欠多少？』「他說：『一百擔麥子。』「管家說：『拿你的欠條，寫成八十。』「於是主人因這個不義的管家做事精明，就稱讚他。這樣看來，今世的兒女在自己的世代裡，比光明的兒女還要聰明。我告訴你們：要藉著那不義的財富為自己結交朋友，這樣當財富無用的時候，你們會被接到永恆的居所裡。在最小的事上忠心的人，在很多事上也忠心；在最小的事上不義的人，在很多事上也不義。因此，你們如果在不義的財富上不忠心，誰會把真正的財富委託給你們呢？你們如果在別人的東西上不忠心，誰會把屬於你們的交給你們呢？一個僕人不能服事兩個主人。他不是厭惡這個、喜愛那個，就是忠於這個、輕視那個。你們不能既服事神，又服事財富。」

至於你，為什麼評斷你的弟兄呢？又為什麼藐視你的弟兄呢？要知道，我們都要站在神的審判臺前，因為經上記著：「主說：我指著我的永生起誓，萬膝將向我跪下，萬口將承認神。」由此可見，我們每個人都要把自己的事向神做出交代。

這樣，人應該把我們看做是基督的僕人、神奧祕之事的管家。在這裡，進一步要求管家們的是，各人都要被看做是忠心的。至於我被你們評斷，或被人審判，對我都是極小的事。其實連我自己也不評斷自己。我誠然問心無愧，但也並不因此被稱為義，原來評斷我的是主。所以時候沒有到，在主來臨之前，不要評斷任何事；主將照亮黑暗中隱祕的事，顯明人心裡的計劃。那時候，稱讚將從神那裡臨到各人。

但那因為不知道而做了該打之事的人，將會受很少鞭打。所以誰被賜予的多，將來向誰索取的也多；託給誰多，將來向誰要求的也更多。

「過了很久，那些奴僕的主人回來，與他們清算帳目。

為此，天國就好比一個君王，要與他的奴僕們清算帳目。他開始算的時候，一個欠了一千萬兩銀子的奴僕被帶到他面前。因為那奴僕沒有可償還的，主人就下令把他和他的妻子兒女，以及他所擁有的一切都賣掉來償還。「那奴僕就俯伏拜他，說：『請寬容我吧，將來我會把一切償還給你。』那奴僕的主人動了憐憫之心，把他釋放了，並且免了他的債。「但那奴僕出去以後，遇見一個與他同做奴僕的；這人欠他一百個銀幣。他就抓住這人，掐住這人的喉嚨，說：『把欠我的還給我。』「這人就俯伏在地央求他，說：『請寬容我吧，我會還給你的。』可是他不肯，反而把這人投進監獄，直到這人能還清所欠的債。那些與他同做奴僕的看見所發生的事，就極其憂傷，去把一切都告訴他們的主人。「於是主人把那奴僕叫來，對他說：『你這惡奴！因為你求我，我就免了你所有的債。難道你不也該憐憫與你同做奴僕的，像我憐憫了你一樣嗎？』主人就發怒，把他交給掌刑官，直到他能還清所欠的一切債。如果你們每個人不從心裡饒恕自己的弟兄，我的天父也會照樣對待你們。」
