前行者、斥勿喧。渠愈益大聲疾呼曰：『大維子、其垂憐焉！』

Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Those who led the way commanded him to stop. They told him to be quiet. But he shouted even louder,“ Son of David! Have mercy on me!”

And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

“ Be quiet!” the people in front yelled at him. But he only shouted louder,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then those in front told him to keep quiet, but he kept crying out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

And they that went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

Then those in front told him to keep quiet, but he kept crying out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

And those who were in front scolded him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted even more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

那人說：「天亮了，讓我走吧！」雅各說：「你不祝福我，我就不讓你走。」那人問他：「你叫什麼名字？」他回答：「雅各。」那人說：「你的名字不要再叫雅各，而要叫以色列，因為你已經與神與人較力，並且得勝了。」

有些人把嬰孩也帶到耶穌那裡，好讓耶穌摸他們一下。門徒們看見了卻責備那些人。

我告訴你們：即使不因著是朋友而起來拿給他，還是會因著他毫無羞愧地求，就起來把他所要的拿給他。「我還告訴你們：不斷祈求吧，就會給你們；不斷尋找吧，就會找到；不斷敲門吧，就會為你們開門。因為凡祈求的，就得到；尋找的，就找到；敲門的，就為他開門。

人群中有一些法利賽人對耶穌說：「老師，責備你的門徒吧！」

「你們這些律法師有禍了！因為你們拿去了知識的鑰匙，你們自己不進去，還阻止正要進去的人。」

他就呼喊說：「耶穌啊，大衛的後裔，可憐我吧！」

耶穌還在說話的時候，有人從會堂主管的家來，對睚魯說：「你的女兒已經死了，不要再麻煩老師了。」

耶穌對他們講了一個比喻，說他們必須常常禱告，不要喪膽。

耶和華啊，我呼求你，求你快快到我這裡！我向你呼求的時候，求你傾聽我的聲音。

耶穌回到門徒們那裡，看見他們睡著了，就對彼得說：「你們怎麼就不能與我一同警醒一個小時呢？要警醒禱告，免得陷入試探。你們心靈雖然願意，肉體卻是軟弱的。」耶穌第二次又去禱告說：「我父啊，如果這杯不能離開我，一定要我喝下，那就願你的旨意成就！」他又回來，看見他們在睡覺，因為他們的眼皮發沉。耶穌又離開他們，第三次去禱告，又說了同樣的話。

為了這事，我三次求主使這根刺離開我。

「不斷祈求吧，就會給你們；不斷尋找吧，就會找到；不斷敲門吧，就會為你們開門。
