當罄售所有、博施濟眾、自製不敝之囊、積無盡之藏於天、盜不得而近之、蠹不得而蝕焉。

耶穌曰：『欲為完人、往售所有、施於貧人、積寶於天、再來從我。』

亦欲吾人努力為善、富於美德、慷慨為懷、博施濟眾而已矣。此亦所以為來日自培美基、以把握真生命耳。

然所需者、一而已矣！瑪麗所選、乃其善者、志之所在、不可奪也。』

故予勸爾、亟以虛夸之財富、廣結良友、則爾謝世之時、必有迎爾入於永宅者矣。

兄弟乎、予自分尚無把握惟有一事可以告慰兄弟、即從前種種、悉已置諸腦後、脫然忘懷；此後種種、尚在孳孳不倦、繼續努力、

耶穌諭眾曰：『人欲從予、務宜克己、日負其十字架、而隨予後。

爾毋儲富於地；蠹蝕焉、銹敗焉、竊者穿窬而盜焉。惟宜儲富於天、既無蠹蝕銹敗、又無盜竊穿窬之虞。

惟以主視之、一日猶如千秋、千秋猶如一日。

伯鐸祿應曰：『吾儕則已捨棄一切、以從子矣。將何所獲乎？』耶穌曰：『吾實語爾、爾曹從我者、至復活時、人子坐於榮座、爾曹亦必坐於十二寶座、審判義塞十二支派。

途次、有人謂耶穌曰：『任爾所之、吾願追隨。』耶穌應之曰：『狐有丘、鳥有巢、人子獨無枕首地。』又謂一人曰：『從予！』其人對曰：『主容吾先行歸葬吾父。』耶穌曰：『任彼死者葬死者、爾但宣揚天主國。』又一人曰：『吾願從主、第求許我別家人。』耶穌曰：『手既扶犂、又後顧、不堪擔當天主國。』

求主惟一事。足以慰幽衷。終身居主宅。陶然醉春風。逍遙聖殿裏。瞻仰樂無窮。

信者咸集、物盡歸公、各鬻其產、視人所需而供之。

不虞匱乏；蓋有田宅者、無不鬻之、以金授之宗徒、視人之需而分配焉。有生於居比路之若瑟者、理未人也。宗徒稱之為巴拿巴、譯言「安慰之子、」亦售其田產、而置金於宗徒之足前焉。
