要變賣你們的家產去賙濟窮人，要為自己預備永不破損的錢袋，在天上積攢取之不盡的財寶，那裡沒有賊偷，也沒有蟲蛀。

耶穌告訴他：「如果你想做到純全，就去變賣所有的產業，送給窮人，你就必有財寶存在天上，然後你來跟從我。」

你要勸他們多多行善、慷慨施捨、樂意助人。這樣，他們可以為自己的將來奠定美好的基礎，以便持守真正的生命。

其實最要緊的事只有一件，瑪麗亞選擇了上好的，是奪不走的。」

「我告訴你們，要善用今世的錢財，廣結朋友。這樣，當錢財不管用時，他們會接你們到永遠的居所。

弟兄姊妹，我並非以為自己已經得到了，我只專注一件事，就是忘記背後，努力向前，

耶穌又教導眾人說：「如果有人要跟從我，就應當捨己，天天背起他的十字架跟從我。

「不要為自己在世上積攢財寶，世上有蟲子咬，會生銹，又有賊闖進來偷。你們要把財寶積攢在天上，天上沒有蟲子咬，不會生銹，也沒有賊闖進來偷。

親愛的弟兄姊妹，有一件事你們不可忽略，就是主看一日如千年，千年如一日。

彼得問道：「你看，我們已經撇下一切來跟從你了，將來會有什麼獎賞呢？」耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們，到萬物更新、人子坐在祂榮耀的寶座上時，你們這些跟從我的人也要坐在十二個寶座上，審判以色列的十二個支派。

在路上有人對耶穌說：「無論你往哪裡去，我都要跟從你。」耶穌對他說：「狐狸有洞，飛鳥有窩，人子卻沒有安枕之處。」耶穌又對另一個人說：「跟從我！」但是那人說：「主啊，請讓我先回去安葬我的父親。」耶穌說：「讓死人去埋葬他們的死人吧，你只管去傳揚上帝國的福音。」又有一個人說：「主啊！我願意跟從你，但請讓我先回去向家人告別。」耶穌說：「手扶著犁向後看的人不配進上帝的國。」

我曾向耶和華求一件事，我還要求，就是能一生住在祂的殿中，瞻仰祂的榮美，尋求祂的旨意。

信徒聚在一起，共用所有的東西。他們把田產家業變賣了，按照各人的需要把錢分給大家。

信徒都一無所缺，因為大家賣掉房屋田產，把所得的錢交給使徒，照各人的需要分配給各人。有個生在塞浦路斯的利未人名叫約瑟，使徒叫他巴拿巴，意思是勸慰者。他賣掉自己的一塊田，把賣得的錢交給了使徒。
